Stayed here last nite. Wonderful lake view made it worth it. Room was clean but very dated....like out of the 70s. If you want breakfast, you must let them know the night before. I assume this is because they don't want to "over prepare" too much food. The shower opening is like 15 inches. If you can't squeeze thru that...you're...

I stayed there with my two girls (8 and 12) and although the walls were very thin and the windows were thin, so we heard the noise from the street, we got up with the typical sound of the 'campanile' (the bells from the Italian churches). I loved especially the very friendly atmosphere at the restaurant. The children were the...

I used this hotel because my business colleague stayed at the same hotel, so I booked from Booking.com, using American Express and I thought I prepaid because all hotels in the area was fully booked. However, I managed to find another hotel, but could not cancel this hotel anyway, because I could get no refund. When the end, it seemed...

Very unfriendly staff at the reception. Lady was in a bad mood, slammed doors. Not really cleean rooms. Room rate was directly taken from the credit card without asking. Never again. Shower very small. Hot water not all the time. Roomdoor difficult to open.

I rarely write reviews unless I've had a really good experience or a really bad one - Unfortunately, this falls in the later! I arrived very late (2am) due to flight problems so I was very tired and maybe a little short tempered. However, the hotel was closed and I had to call a number on the door. The receptionist...

Room very simple. Heating/cooling did not work. Bathroom über small. Bed uncomfortable. Breakfast was included but was of poor quality. Staff very nice, the only plus. Literally on border. Front and back entrances on different side of Italian customs! Wouldn't stay here again.

Small, but clean room, and lovely view over the lake ( at request) . Nice restaurant downstairs, also overlooking the lake. Try a beer about 50 meters to the right. The city is on the borderline switzerland and italy, and you can really notice a differance!

We've been to this hotel during mid April (2012). The hotel exterior was under construction and the interior is really old and ugly. The rooms are so small and dated and the WORST two things were - NO heat and NO hot water! For a 90 Euro room this is an outrage! When we told the women in the front...

Right next to the border post between Italy and Switzerland, the hotel's location in Ponte Tresa is alright. Nice views of lake Lugano. The staff were friendly and polite. Overall clean. The room we had could have used some renovating and freshening up though, especially for 95 euros a night. When the people in the next room flushed their toilet...

This hotel turned up in my search for a hotel in Lugano. It turns out it is not in Lugano. When I couldn't find the hotel, I called them and told them I was in Lugano and could not find them. They misdirected me to a town an hour away but the hotel was nowhere to be found. I ended...
