Our daughter purchased a grab one voucher for us for Christmas which we received on Christmas day. Having just got back from our holidays 10 January we rang to book our gift only to be told "sorry we only have a few week days left available for the next 20 days and they would not extend the date to use...

Sounds Idyllic but the only thing going for it is the location-set in the Waitakeres in native bush; and the north facing vista to Auckland harbour bridge, city and sky tower. We ate in the restaurant twice and twice I got the gripes a few hours after eating there. We dined the first night on the dugustation menu. The first...

Was I in trouble: This was my arrival stay for my first visit of Auckland. When I booked it, I knew it was off city, but unaware it was so far deep into the countryside. (I had also booked another hotel in the city for the later days of my visit.) The hotel was ok and the room had a...

We appreciate your feedback. Although Auckland's Waitakere Estate is only 30 kilometres from downtowm Auckland and 12 kilometres from the nearest shops, railway stations etc we do recommed guests have a car for ease of access and to take advantage of the many points of interest to visit oin the surrounding Waitakere Ranges Heritage Park.

My husband and I booked a night at the hotel for New Year's Eve in the Garden View Spa Apartment. We started off with High Tea in the restaurant which was very yummy and different. Our room was very clean, tidy and modern. The views of Auckland City where amazing. For us it was definitely the place to be away...

A nice spot close to Auckland city but feels like you are a million miles away. Great if you like NZ native bush and birds. Dinner is good. Grounds are beautifully kept. Rooms and lounge are dated but don't let that put you off if you want something different. Tip: check out the library of old magazine, books and newspapers...

First time ever decided to dine out for Christmas lunch. Waitakere Estate was a poor choice. Service was inconsistent and delayed. Very long waits between courses. Food very average and many items not fresh; over-priced. Poor value.

We regret your dining experience on Christmas Day did not meet your expectations. Christmas Day is the busiest day of the year in our Restaurant. This year we will be making some changes in an ecndeavour to reduce the waiting time between courses.

We booked two nights in one of the superior apartments as a special treat for us to celebrate 10 years of marriage (we were married at the Waitakere Estate) paying $365/night ...a special treat indeed! We arrived to be told by reception (Diane) that if we got back after 10pm the gates would be locked and that "she would not...

Thank you for your review and we do regret you did not ahve a good customer service experience with our reception staff. This is not up to the service level we strive to provide at Auckland's Waitakere Estate and the staff member concerned is no longer employed at our Hotel. Stayed a single night. Great view over the valleys with Auckland city twinkling on the far horizon. Room had a nice balcony, perhaps too low if you have small children. Didn't try the restaurant although it seemed popular. As others have mentioned rooms are a bit tired but clean and the beds comfortable: good quality linen. Several walking trails in...

Went here for birthday surprise. Booking in was easy on line but the welcome inauspicious. $450 deposit seemed high for a stay of one night and the cheeseboard wine orders was not available. Experience improved after that though. Rooms are a bit dated but were clean and tidy. Highlight was meal at restaurant. Try and book on sunset to see...

Not what I'd expect for a wedding anniversary holiday. First room we were given was underwhelming with not much outlook. Second room was better but smelt of smoke. No in room movies or sky for a rainy day.
