This is a spectacular building and is amazing inside. We had a lovely comfortable suite with good views down to the harbour which we couldn't fault in any way. Everywhere was very clean - almost too much as it felt a little sterile, as if we should talk in whispers. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was good.... More

We stayed here one night in August as we traveled the north of Spain. Our room was very spacious and quiet. The beds (we had booked one double size but got 2 twins) were not the most comfortable we have had. The view overlooking the river was stunning. Reception was berg courteous. There is no restaurant at the hotel so... More

Twenty km is a good stretch on one's first day (out of Avilés) and, while the walk was spectacular, it was drizzling and tiring. As the budget option in Soto del Barco was closed, this was the alternative. After a bit of climb, I arrived, sodden, in the lobby, to find smiling staff, ready to get me a room-- their... More

Such a lovely hotel, brilliant staff that are extremely helpful. Food terrific value and very tasty. The spa is very relaxing and the views from the hotel beautiful. Our room was amazing more like a suite. Not a thing I didn't like. Thank you Magdalena twice this year, see you next year.

Found by it's dominating the skyline as I explored the Cote Verde. An honest 4 star in a period building, plenty parking, English spoken. big rooms and all the trimming in the bathroom- if you forgot your razor, toothbrush etc! The hotel is absolutely stunning. The rooms are well decorated with beautiful views over the river. We had an enjoyable dinner at a moderate price. But we had a very poor night's sleep due to the heat of the room and the poor air con. The room was very hot even though it was actually cloudy and raining outside, and... More

Wonderful overnight stay at this magnificent hotel. Wonderful views and lovely bedroom. Our waitress was just delightful in the evening. Would definitely stay here again. Enjoyed the spa too. Breakfast was delicious with a good selection of fruits, cold meats and breads. Evening meal was very good but did expect a bit better for this hotel.

This 4-star hotel is really impressive. It's like an old palace outside but with all modern facilities you can drama of inside. The rooms are really comfortable with beautiful furniture and with an enormous bathroom. In general, the decoration of the whole hotel is very stylish. You feel like at home at this small cosy hotel. It has Spa facilities,... More
