Our room (with a spa access) was lovely and spacy, we really appreciated its “old” classical design & calming colours. The room was near a spa lift, so all we needed is just to put on our bathrobes and go downstairs😊. The only minus – they didn’t have any electric kettle in the room, so it was a bit difficult to organize our daily herbal teas. The receptionists and the service team were simply exceptional: on the day of the arrival they were four times in our room, helping us with an unfamiliar safe system, different bed blankets, tissues… and everything with a sincere smile. Breakfast: freshly made smoothies and tomato spread, finest cured meats, different cheeses, tortilla, omelettes, fruit, vegetables, cava and some other nice extras at the weekend:)... The spa pool - water was nice and clear, but sometimes overchlorinated. The pool was often busy (especially at the weekend), but there were gaps - directly after the breakfast, 13.00-14.00 & and 19.00-21.00. Various hydromassage beds. Local mineral water, different kinds of tea and towels were included. There are also many beautiful natural parks and walking areas in the vicinity. And, by the way, there’s a mineral water spring directly opposite to the spa entrance, the locals take water there every day at certain hours and it’s very tasty.

The restaurant medium quality. Good Dorada, but salty wok of groceries. We have to wait too much time between dishes. The spa just a round pool with several water jets, but nothing special, too expensive for two adults with two children. The perla spa in San Sebastián similar price and better.

I have visited a number of spas in Europe and I can tell you: this one leaves a lot to be desired! When taking a massage, I requested a harder touch since it was far too soft. Instead of simply acting upon, the lady told me that that was what I had paid for... oops!!! I decided not to engage in discussing with her since she looked rather uncompromising and stubborn. I then complained at the counter about the poor quality of the massage and how the massager was unwilling to provide a slightly harder massage. They reacted in a defensive manner and tried to justify their incompetence instead of trying to learni and seek for improvement. All in all, not recommended!

My family (my wife, two kids and I) spent a long weekend at this hotel during the Christmas Holidays. We were looking for a family-friendly hotel with spa, to spend some days in relax. This hotel was a great choice. The staff is friendly and helpful, the spa is nice, and the rooms are clean, spacious and cozy. Children have scheduled access to the pool, which is a good thing for both parents with kids and other guests. Perhaps the morning schedule could be shifted 30 minutes or 1 hour later, but even so waking up, having a relaxed breakfast, going back to the room and preparing the kids for the pool is still manageable, although not "relaxing". The hotel is located in a small village and has a paid parking. It's easy to reach from the motorway and although Solares hasn't many things to offer, there are many nice places to visit close to it.

Hotel is very good, clean, spacious and staff friendly! Small details, like huggy bear and welcome letter for children and extra choce of pillows was a big plus! Breakfast very rich of variety and fresh foods. Big Minus is limited pool time for children! We always choose spa hotels cause our toddler loves to swim, and unfortunately in Spain I haven’t found child friendly spa that does not limit children from visiting all the installations of spa without schedules. In northern countries of EU spas are mainly for children and have slides, water toys and unlimited access so all family can enjoy! They have spa area for children but it is open Only on weekends and during summer... it’s like discrimination for families who travel in midweek. Other minus is that they don’t have any saunas included for hotel guests! You can gain pass to other areas of spa by paying extra! Thermal pool has lots of jets and massage beds, water is nice and warm. We also had a’la carte restaurant included for dinner. Service was very nice and professional, staff very friendly! Food was beautifully presented but lack of taste, so overall nothing special! infront of the hotel there is amazing restaurant La Martintera where we had lunch and it was 10 X better than our hotel dinner and price the same. Finally it’s not the best choice for families with children as they prefer to rather keep swimming pool empty and children play area closed than let children enjoy.

Dear guest, Thank you for your comments, it's very important for us to improve our services. We are pleased to hear that you underline the service of our friendly staff, as we consider them as one of the most important parts of our organization. Our spa is visited by many different kind of guests, and this is the reason why we set different schedules for all of them to feel comfortable. We have a special time for families to enjoy our waters, as we know children love to enjoy the pool with their relatives. In the same way, we have a only adults slot for those who visit us without children, looking for an extra of quiet and relax. Actually, we have a special children spa and we open it when children are on their school holidays. As our mineral waters are different from a spa ones, our sauna is too. It is not a part of the pool as it's conceived as a space that combines different temperatures and humidity degrees, dry sauna, hamman, hot pool, cold pool and a relax area. Not being suitable for children under 18 and programmed in 6 people groups with a guide, not only it's a sauna service, but a whole wellness treatment too. We are a family friendly hotel and we are very sorry if we did not fit all your family needs. We would like to have the oportunity to receive you again to enjoy a real wellness experience. Kind regards.
