The hotel is a good 3½ hours north of Durban and is imbedded in the beautiful World Heritage site Drakensberg. The mountains is lush green all the way up to the tops. The rooms are big and the food was fantastic best hotel food we experienced. Beautiful walks simple or very tough plenty to choose between. The magnificent Cathedral Peak...

We stayed three nights at Cathedral Peak. The location is stunning and we stayed in a room that had been refurbished. The room was lovely but it was a shame you couldn't see the main mountains from the room just a roof of the block in front. The food was good and the service excellent. Lots of really nice well...

Situated in the most beautiful Giants Castle area of the drakensberg, the hotel is blessed with incredible views. The hotel itself is an old fashioned style, family hotel. Thats not a bad thing but some of the pedantic weird rules are just silly. When you first arrive in the dining room you are allocated a specific table, like it or...

Cathedral Peak Hotel is situated at maginificent spot in the Drakensbergen. It is truly beautiful with mountains, birds and long walks along the tops and gorges.. The weather is unreliable but even when it is raining it is beautiful. The problem is the hotel itself. It is to big for its own good. The reception works good but without enthusiasm....

I have not visited this hotel for 20 years, so I took my kids back as my parents had done with me. it is untouched and still has amazing charm and that incredible Drakensburg backdrop. Buffett is excellent and the walking is still superb. Getting to the hotel is easy as roads are excellent and safe. It is very well...

Food well prepared and there is always wide variety. Would definitely go back. Thank you to management, they have really put a lot of effort to make guests really enjoy each...

An amazing location, with plenty to do for all ages. Loved the golf course. We were spoiled with two cool and slightly overcast days, which made the walks extremely pleasant. Just a warning, you will over-eat! but you can obviously offset this with some vigorous, or not so vigorous activities. The only negative I have is that we were "greeted"...

If you are looking for a chilled out holiday and just want to get away from it all, this place is perfect. The views of the mountains are breathtakingly majestic! Makes you forget about the madness of the "real world". The rooms are a bit dated but clean and comfortable. Breakfast, dinner and afternoon tea are included in the room...
