The drive to Cathedral peak is slow, travelling through the local community where cows, goats and kids run across the road at all times. Approaching the first boom gate a conservation fee is required, we find this acceptable and we gladly handed over R80 (R40 per person). 4km later we approached yet another boom, this is Cathedral Peaks private Boom...

We were considering staying at this hotel. Until we went there. After a rather challenging drive, we arrived at the gate. We were told by the security there was a R40 conservation fee. Which we didn't mind paying. We drove in only to reach another security boom gate. For the luxury of going to see the hotel you were considering...

Thank you very much for your feedback – this is very much appreciated. Your comments are important in assisting us in maintaining and improving the standards of Cathedral Peak Hotel. The R40 per person is part of the Ezemvelo Wildlife KZN permits to enter, as a day visitor we do charge the R50 per vehicle and R30 may be redeemed...

We took a group of eight to this hotel and we were well looked after, warm welcome, comfortable and clean rooms, great views and so much to do and experience. The food is exceptionally well prepared with so much to choose from. Freshly caught Trout was the highlight of our dinners. Chefs were so pleasant and eager to please as...

Everything was chick, attention to detail & friendly staff was what made us feel special, a relatively big resort but with a personal touch, that the big corporate places will find hard to compete with. Well done to the entire Cathedral Peak team!

Stayed in the Presidential Suite which was totally private with stunning views of the mountains. The suite comes with it's own golf cart to transport you around the resort. It offers a separate lounge area compete with fireplace and remote operated curtains. A patio leads off the lounge with 2 recliners and patio table and chairs. The bedroom has a...

I hounestly don't understand all the bad reviews about the unfriendly people and the rooms with strange smell. The people were in our opinion very very friendly, especially in the breakfast/diningroom.The fact that you get a table for the rest of your stay is perfect. You never have the chance that somebody else get 'your' nice table. We were with 6...

A group of ten of us stayed in the honeymoon suites, each of which offers a magnificent view of the mountains through sliding glass doors. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The food in the dining room was excellent, with a really great selection in several parts of the extensive buffet. It seems that most of the staff are drawn...

My Son Winston and new Daughter Charmaine booked the hotel for their wedding, 70 guests made up of close family and friends from all over the world, gathered together for this wonderful occasion. I don't think there is a more beautiful wedding chapel in the world. We spent 4 days just relaxing, our rooms had beautiful views of the mountains,...

Ed and I invited 65 adults and 9 children to help us celebrate our wedding day at Cathedral Peak Hotel and what a fantastic decision that was... Most of our guests flew in from all over the world and were all blown away with this stunning venue, incredible service and wide range of things to do. We spent 4 nights...
