We stayed here for 4 days recently and it was truly a haven of rest. We had explored much of northern Italy during our 18 day holiday to celebrate my dads 80th birthday and this was our last stop. The house was delightful and fully equipped. Marciano was one of the most hospitable hosts I have met and was attentive to what we needed.

Locating the best B & B fit requires that travelers fully understand what is important to them at different points along their journey. We chose to stay at La Casa del Giardiniere because of where we were at that point in time during this second visit to Italy: Not where we were geographically, but where we knew we would be physically and mentally. We had been in the hustle and bustle of Rome for four days and met our son in Venice to continue on to Northern Italy. He was tired from a temporary assignment in Conegliano and we were a bit weary from the pace of Rome. So we elected to find a three-day central location that would permit us to make some planned day trips (Treviso, Trieste, Conegliano, Vicenze) and also allow us to return each evening to a quiet, relaxed oasis for recovery. La Casa del Giardiniere was perfect. We had just finished a 10-month complete renovation of an older home a few weeks prior to our trip, but the careful and detailed finishes to this home made us want to start all over again. The home and gorgeous gardens are lovely and guests have a separate and very private wing, with its own entrance, to wind down from the day. The beds are wonderful, the house is spotless and everything has been thought of, including music and reading material. The kitchen is well-stocked, grocery stores are nearby and so are excellent restaurants. Mr. Favaro is a gentle, helpful and gracious host and we looked forward each morning to the thoughtful gifts he left at our door. His advice for side visits was spot-on. If you want to experience what life in a more rural Italian environment is like along with the feeling of a peaceful retreat, this is a perfect place for you.

We booked all 3 rooms in the house for a week. What you see in the pictures - is EXACTLY what you get. The house is located in a quiet road just outside the main town centre. Matsiamo (the owner) is a wonderful host. Made our stay very comfortable and looked after us very well. The house has the real essence and feel of authentic Italy with the modern and fresh feel you'd expect. Its was almost like a house you would expect to see in a Laura Ashley catalogue. Was just WONDERFUL. Its home away from home.... If you want to live and feel the true essence and life of Italy....stay at this beautiful B&B....and let Italy do the rest. DON'T THINK TWICE - BOOK BOOK BOOK! ROOMS: 1 Master bedroom - on suite 1 Double bedroom - on suite 1 Single/Double bedroom - bathroom down the hall but only used by occupants of this room. The rooms are spacious, very clean, air conditioned and very cosy. WELL KEPT AND CLEAN LOCATION Located on a very quiet road off a main road. You NEED a car to get around anywhere, otherwise its quite difficult. Shopping area is just a 5mins drive Beach is 1 hour drive Prosecco Valley is 40min drive Venice is 30min by train Venice airport is 45min by car Treviso airport is 15min by car Treviso town centre is 20min by car Don't miss out on all the gorgeous sites - hire and car and explore... BREAKFAST Matsiamo made us a fresh breakfast every morning, i.e fresh apple juice, fresh fruit, eggs, cheese, sliced meat, fresh coffee....all picked FRESH from his back garden. You don't need to tell him when you would like breakfast - he somehow just knows so when you come down the stairs, you'll find Matisamo bobbing to some smooth jazz music while boiling a pot of fresh coffee. BOOK this B&B - you won't regret it :) Matsiamo - we'll be back next year. Mile Grazie

Our family stayed in the self catering house, we had an amazing time. Great location for mestre/Venice and not too far from lake Garda. Our host was superb, always there to help but never over bearing. The welcome on the first evening with homemade prosecco, fresh coffee and biscotti was superb and made my parents holiday.
