Great place to stay, very friendly staff. Had an evening meal which was well priced. Good wholesome food. Cooked to order breakfast in the morning. Rooms spotless, lot of higher end chain hotels could learn how to clean rooms from these ladies. Good off street parking. Definitely be back! Only negative were the boy racers revving engines and tooting horns...

Well worth a visit! The rooms are basic but very clean and comfortable. Shower and toilet spotless. Food is very good and breakfast especially was excellent. The locals and staff are lovely and we were made to feel most welcome. Only downside was our room was above the main bar and being a Saturday night it was noisy. However, we...

yet again very friendly staff and people.food really good nice prices for drink in lounge, room was big only thing I would recommend is that they position the double bed so that you can get out both sides nothing worse than clambering from wall side to get to toilet .,,room we were in was above main entrance so a bit noisy...

the rooms are not the largest but at the price I suppose you cannot really expect more. the toilet/showers are unsuitable if you are a reasonably tall person as they can be quite small and fixed nosel. the rooms would benefit from a moderisation to them.

Went to the legion restaurant and had a great meal plenty of choice from a good and varied menu. Had the home made chicken fillets and they were excellent then followed by the sticky toffee pudding. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

We are from Australia and were staying at a BnB out of Turriff. We came into town on Friday night and it was very difficult to find somewhere to eat, we tried one hotel and they were having a Christmas function so recommended the Royal British Legion Scotland and after enquiring if we could eat that night, we signed in...

Popped in for Sunday lunch and found the menu to be fairly extensive. The decor was very nice with what appeared to be new carpeting. Public toilets absolutely spotless. We both opted for the carvery. There were generous offerings of beef, turkey and pork. The beef was just beautiful. The sides included yorkies, skirling, roast and boiled potatoes and a...

If you're American, the RBL is basically a VFW. The room was small and not deluxe, but it was clean and I had a great sleep. One tip: if you're here on Friday or Saturday night, don't get a room over the front entrance (that door must have slammed 50 times a night!). It's a working class hotel in a...
