Stayed here for 2 days on business - the rooms
do have all what is needed, the beds are comfortable, though with a ‘Steppdecke’ (not a duvet).
The service is extremely friendly and helpful, this goes also for the restaurant, which is great for breakfast (all what you might like, even scrambled eggs made just fresh for you). I also stayed for dinner - regional dishes, tasty with a fair price.
I will return the next time.

We have visited this nice and charmin german gasthaus seveeral times. Everytime there is nice staff taking good care of us. The rooms are clean and nice furnitured in a little old-fashion way. Good standard in shower and toilett.

The hotellrestaurant are serving well-cooked german and international specialities. We always enjoy nthere schnitzel wiener art which is delicious together with a good localbrewed beer. Professional and personal service everytime.

Breakfast is a good standard german breakfast with a lot of choices.

We always feel very satisfied when we leave the hotel and are waIting for the next visit. It´s the perfect stop when You´re crossing Germany.

Second time here - well located in a lovely village with train station, room with everything you need, decent restaurant prices and a good breakfast.
Rooms are standard, corridors are aged and friendliness depends on person you meet; good price level.

I am visiting friends in Malterdingen, and decided to change from Emmendingen to stay in Riegel am Kaiserstuhl.
Found Gasthof Kopf in this little town and decided to make a reservation for three nights through booking.com.
Situated in the middle of this dainty little town, a simple no frills guest house.
Fairly straight forward, no registration, a room was allocated on the first floor, no lifts available and no help for
the elderly persons with the luggage etc.
Rooms are extremely clean, and have all the basic necessities.
The breakfast buffet is good, but they do not provide you
with any warm food like fried eggs or and omelette.
Full boiled eggs are available.
The service personnel and I presume the owner are quite friendly.
I have invited some friends for dinner, and will write about there quality of food and service in a separate review.
The room rates are a bit exaggerated for a two star property.
WiFi is very poor.
There is parking available on a first come first served basis in front of the guest house.
Seems to be very well patronised by locals, so they don’t seem to be too much concerned about outsiders.
This is my personal opinion, and I may be completely wrong.
If I were to come back to stay in Riegel, I will still choose to stay here.
Thanks and warm regards,
Randolph Perera

Located in the center of the quaint village of Riegel, this guesthouse makes the perfect stop. Unusually large rooms, terrific service, and a bountiful breakfast at Kopf. Perhaps best of all is the excellent restaurant (great schnitzel!), with a happy beer garden at your disposal. Must stay each time I'm in the area.

Friendly, clean, excellent breakfast and a stable stop over hotel for the last 15 years. The hotel is situated in the heart of Riegel, just 2 km from the highway. The dinner options are plenty, freshly made and of great quality. Just what you need after a day in the car. In the summer the beer garten is setup in front. There is ample free parking available. Looking forward to next time.

We stayed at this hotel this week.
We slept in a family room in the pink building next to the main hotel.
The room was very clean, quiet. The bedding is average, and the windows and curtains could be improved.
The breakfast is very generous and good.
The staff is friendly and efficient.
Near the hotel a very good bakery, a great typical German restaurant, a kebab and Italian restaurant.
I recommend this hotel in a small town, with a magnificent church with its storks, and close to Europapark (15 minutes by car)
