Booked Ginney guest house for our wedding anniversary as we planed to go hiking in Lakes for 2 days. Booking went smoothly and Linda the owner managed to fulfil our request to have cold prosecco and flowers waiting for us in the room for our arrival. The room was clean and beautifully decorated in modern rustic style just what we...

We have stayed here a few times, you can always be sure of a warm welcome, spotless comfy room and a delicious freshly cooked breakfast that will set you up for the day. Great location, feels like the countryside yet only minutes from the motorway so great for a stopover to break up a long journey.

Had a great stay at this B&B in their family room. We had the downstairs room which was spacious for the 3 of us - tea/hot chocolate/coffee readily available with yummy biscuits, fresh milk and After Eight mints! We made our booking through a well known online Booking site, next time I would go direct so we could choose the...

The Buttercup holiday cottage was our home for seven days. The accommodation is bright & modern and ideally located for touring the area situated just off the M6. The down side to the location is traffic noise from the M6. Not an issue when inside the property with the doors and windows closed. If you are lucky enough to visit...

‘’AND FRIGHTEND MISS MUFFET AWAY’’ – Country Living? We very rarely need to comment on Guest reviews, due to so many excellent, appreciative and rewarding reviews, like the lovely review below from Guests who stayed in the same holiday cottage the week before. However on this occasion we disagree so strongly and felt obliged to comment. We have had many...

Don't be fooled by the location. This wonderful guest house (with self catering cottages) is ideally situated for Keswick, Grasmere, Ambleside, Windermere and north east Lake District. We used one of the cottages which was clean, comfortable and provided an excellent base for walking. Compact and functional we had he feeling the cottage had been recently decorated/refurbished, was to good...

Arrived at The Ginney and our first thoughts were my what a lovely place. Met by Linda the owner a charming lady. Beautifully converted farm building providing excellent facilities catering for the modern traveller. Great choice of breakfast menu delivered by Philip. Very friendly and obliging the whole visit was perfect.

We were given lots of information immediately on our arrival and our hosts booked a local restaurant for us. The room was spacious and well fitted out with a very functional bathroom. The breakfast was nicely cooked and carefully served by the owners. A very comfortable stay in a quiet location within 2 or 3 minutes of the M6.

This is a well-situated and comfortable bed and breakfast. The room was quaint and spacious, although it did feel a little damp in the evening when it got cooler, maybe from the stone walls? The only negative also is that we could hear voices and other sounds from the neighbouring rooms. The breakfast was superb and the owners super friendly...

Thank you for your review, we are pleased that you enjoyed your stay. As a Barn Conversion we have always tried to retain the original character where possible, however with 2ft thick sandstone walls room temperatures may vary from warm to cool at night compared to a modern house. In the summer months it can be very difficult to adjust...
