A unique place element of a bigger research project into renewables. The architecture of each of the available houses is striking, interesting, clever and well thought out. The location is good with a semi private beach and a pleasant walk over the hill to El Medano. It is in the flight path but the noise is not to bad. Carbon...

Casas Bioclimaticas ITER is located at the base of Montana Pelada in the centre of Institute for Technology and Renewable Energy. The 24 villas are all designed and built in different styles. This was our fourth stay and this time we stayed in Casa Bernoulli from 1st to 8th January 2017. The villa is single dwelling and it consists of...

Absolutely perfect stay. Villas are beautiful, well equipped, comfort, located on the sea shore. Not suitable if using public transport - you may need a car to get there. The wind didn't bother at all.

The surroundings are unique and beautiful. All the houses are different and it is quite interesting to walk around and check out the architecture. There is even guided visits which we couldn't do since it's once a week and we weren't there on that day, but it must be interesting. We got El Alisio. It's beautiful! Very easy to cool...

As always we can only report our experiences, we read up on the facilities, location and reviews before booking so we knew the airport was close and the wind turbines could be a nuisance but we went anyway...! Well, the upside is a fantastic individual house with modern facilities and quirky design in a secure and interesting setting. Near a...

Excellent location, very close to the sea (10 min walk to almost deserted sandy beach). We stayed at El Alisio and it is well equiped villa. It is difficult to say what was missing from the home appliances, everything needed is there. There was a strange smell of burning plastic from the kettle, but it's probably a problem of cheap...

Recently stayed here as a base for a walking holiday. Loved the location of the house, as it meant we really chilled out as it was not near to the local amenities of El Medano (short drive). The noise of the flight path and wind turbines really were not an issue to us (Me being a light sleeper) but I...

I did not have a chance to stay in one of the bioclimatic, low-carbon house, but I visited the renewable energy park at ITER, which was fantastic. A beautiful setting and interesting displays and various solar and wind energy applications. Its even possible to get inside part of a wind turbine. If you are interested in low carbon energy, I...

We made a reservation via Booking and were told by Miren from Casas Bioclimaticas Iter that we could choose a house per 25€/day. When we asked which houses could we choose she said that since we had a type 2 house reservation so were given (La Estrella or Noche y Dia) we had to pay 35€/day for any other house....

Lovely light and airy apartments, and if you are into sustainability this might be the place for you BUT, you will be right under the flight path for planes taking off (the nosiest part of the flight) and the constant howling of the dozen or so wind turbines will drive you daft. If you are looking for a nice quiet...

hello Chris, I´m sorry that you felt like this. Anyway as is amply informed everywhere about windmills and proximity to airport I can only tell you if you are sensitive to noise you didnt do the correct election. Noisesensibility is very personal and as it can be read from other guests it doesnt bother most of them. Best wishes, Miren
