The perfect pension. I stayed in a spacious double room with ensuiite with a balcony overlooking the street behind the Cathedral. It was spotlessly clean, nicely decorated with cheery prints on the wall. Caroline the host made me feel welcome from the start and couldn't have been more helpful.

This is a cute little guest house, it's only let down its quite warm at night and unfortunately you don't control it,Caroline the hostess does. She doesn't mind putting it on,but she's not there on the evening so if you forget to ask her.... You'll sweat. This is a very clean guesthouse, basic but nice. Any shampoos, shower gels etc...

Such a lovely little guesthouse! Stayed here for a long weekend with my other half and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Caroline was lovely and made us feel so welcome. Our room had a little balcony which we loved and the noise from the street didn't bother us at all, although the weekends are loud the noise from other guests was...

This little hotel is on the first floor of an old building overlooking the back of the cathedral. It is in the Barrio, the oldest part of Alicante. Do you come here if you want to be close to all the best bars and restaurants and participate in the nightlife of this enjoyable city. Don't come here if you are...

so pretty much the only negative i could find was the dark entrance hall in the building. made it tricky to manouvre in and out and lock up etc. Aside from that, I had a better experience here than I have had at most hotels. Host is absolutely wonderful and accommodating! Beautiful, absolutely perfectly positioned place! GREAT value for money....

Pension San Nicolas is perfectly close located to the old city and the beach. Caroline and her team is very friendly and helpful - already before my arrival I received tips via email. The room was small but very clean and absolute adequate for staying there overnight.

This is a lovely guesthouse in the centre of the old town. We were made to feel very welcome, and the room that we had was cosy and beautifully decorated. I liked the extra touches, such as the books and beach toys available, and the extra toiletries.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The pension is a little hotel of 8 bedrooms (4 doubles, 2 singles, 1 for 3 persons and 1 for 4 persons). 5 of the bedrooms have got their own private bathroom and the 3 remaining are sharing 2 bathrooms. The pension is located in the heart of the old town, just behind the Cathedral San Nicolas. It´s next to all the bars, cafes and restaurants. In 5 minutes walk from here you are at the Alicante beach El Postiguet and next to all the site of interests....the port, the castle Santa Barbara, the old quarter Santa Cruz, the main street La Rambla, the theatre, the town hall, the Tram which takes you to the beach of San Juan & Campello. The pension is managed by its owner, Caroline, and its aim is to be as welcoming and helpful as possible offering a great range of tips and advises on your arrival in Alicante. As the pension is next to the night bars, at week ends some of the rooms are noisy but this is perfect for party goers or heavy sleepers! The reception opening hours are 10h30 - 23h00. The hosts are given a set of keys on arrival which allow them to enter anytime...just like at home and that´s the aim of this small place....for you to feel just like at home! ... more   less
