Detailed Reviews
Stayed at this hotel for a night recently. The receptionist was very friendly and welcoming and explained all that was needed.
Hotel is located inside a 28/ 29 storey residential building and occupies the first 5 floors. It’s situated in a perfect location for transport, shopping, restaurants and to explore the city.
I had a standard double room on 5th floor. The room was very clean and looked like it had been refurbished recently.
Room was adequate size for two people for a couple of nights although if staying for many nights may be a bit small.
It had everything you needed in the room - small TV, individually controlled air con, foldaway table, two chairs, large wardrobe, two bedside tables and safety deposit box. Hotel also provided a small bottle of water and a mini hand sanitiser bottle which I thought was a really nice touch.
Room had a balcony and looked over an open back yard kind of area of the building behind. Balcony did not have any chairs but you can just use the chairs from inside if you want to sit on balcony. That side of the building got the sun late into the afternoon.
Safety deposit box was free you just need to insert a one euro count every time you want to close it.
Bath is a very good size and is very well equipped and includes a full size bath and hairdryer. Towels and bedding all appeared to be brand new.
Hotel corridors are fully enclosed and floors are marble so this does mean that any noise in the corridor is magnified and can easily be heard in the room. Also hotel is located in city centre so has the usual hustle and bustle noise of cars, people and the rubbish collection lorry in the early hours of the morning. But this is normal for any hotel in such a great central city location.
Location is right next to the large El Corte Inglés store and meters from the main Alicante tram station called Luceros. Everything you need is so close by including the beach.
Suggestions to hotel are tiny and would just make the hotel even better. Please could you add a rubbish bin to the room and maybe a door between the room entrance hall and bedroom part.
NB some sites advertise rooms/studios for this building which are privately owned and may be on much higher floors and have different furnishings depending on the owners taste. I booked via hotels.com and used the hotel part.
Overall my experience was a very clean, modern hotel in a great location at a great price.

We were allocated a large comfortable studio. The hotel is very clean and very handy for tram and airport bus. It was quiet at night. The only niggle was that the A/C/Heating was very noisy and blowy but still an overall enjoyable experience.

Having paid less than £35 a night including getting a very basic breakfast (croissant or bread, jam, orange juice and a coffee) I find it hard to really fault this place for the price paid.
Yes, it is basic and a dated with little character but our room on the first floor was large and clean plus had a balcony (no furniture though). The bathroom had a decent shower and there was aircon for the main room too.
The TV only had Spanish channels and the internet was a little patchy but that would be only real negatives. We also made use of the self service laundry (need own soap/detergent, but there is a supermarket close by) for just €6 to both wash and dry.
Less than ten minutes walk to the RENFE railway station, just two minutes to the tram (for Benidorm etc) and easy walking to lots of shops and restaurants. So a good location too.

We have just returned from this accommodation and could not fault it. We arrived at the airport and got on the C6 bus which dropped us off about 200 yards from this hotel. We were on the 30th floor so not good if you like heights but view amazing. Appartment excellent, really spacious. It seemed it had recently been refurbished. There were only two of us but it would have slept four people. Large bathroom containing towels, toothbrushes, toothpaste and shower gel on arrival. The kitchen also contained washing up liquid and cleaners. Maid service every day with clean towels. Continental breakfast included. Five minute walk to the beach. Would recommend this appartment. Alicante is lovely too.

I don't recommend this hotel. It's not dirty, but there are some vague smells, especially in the halls. The room has the minimal equipment: no fridge, plastic laminate flooring, and a TV with only local channels that you can't change from the bed because the remote's range is to short. Neither of the two bedside lights work, and there is only liquid soap/gel, which is really annoying for anyone who usually uses real soap. Even at the cheapest rate, it's quite pricey, and when I tried to extend my stay for an extra night, they wanted to charge 300 euros, in an establishment that is at the bottom end of acceptable! The only reason to stay at this hotel is its central location.

Estudiotel is an excellent hotel on C.Poeta Vila Y Blanco and is located in the heart of Alicante.
Housed in a massive building where I think the first few floors are the hotel and all the rest of the building is residential.
We had a room on the first floor (Room 114) an excellent room which was spacious and extremely clean with a brilliant shower and the best air conditioning we have ever had in any hotel we have stayed in.
With comfortable beds and ample storage it was a brilliant room to stay and it had an enormous balcony. We had also paid for a breakfast that was decent and had ample options to set you up for the day ahead.
All in all a superb hotel in a superb area of Alicante and is well worth staying in.(This is my first review of Estudiotel Hotel).

We have just returned after a 3 day trip, and on a budget. Booked a superior twin room, we luckily were allowed to check in early at 11am (should have been later 3oc! ). Room itself excellent, clean, comfortable beds and pillows, free toiletries, razor, toothbrush, shower gel, hairdryer etc, safe in wardrobe ( cost, one euro when you open it!). Really pleased with the comfort and for the price. No fridge though but not an issue being a short stay. Ideal location near, tram 3-5min walk, airport bus is 2 mins walk,( get off at: "luceros" stop cost 3.85 each from airport ) get airport bus floor 2 in airport departures route c6. Very handy rather than taxi, took 30 mins. Hotel is very central to eveeything: 20 mins walk to old town and beautiful local quiet beach. Countless restaurants locally, supermarket locally, very spanish speaking rather than english. Ideal for a quick winter break or a break to alicante anytime for a night or a few days ! great value 120 euro for two nights two people total -cant go wrong!. Luggage room also handy when leaving. Totally enjoyable and relaxing stay. English speaking staff, friendly and very helpful. We will definitely come back!

Firstly, on arriving around 11.30 am was very pleasantly surprised to find my room readily available well in advance of scheduled check-in time of 3pm. Having booked a studio apartment was even more pleasantly surprised to find a one bedroom apartment, looking freshly decorated with two balconies - both with fantastic sea views, allowing me to make the most of the winter sunshine. Bed was very comfortable, and the lifts were very efficient. The staff members and the other inhabitants of the block were all very friendly. My one suggestion for improvement would be that the kitchen of the studio could have been a bit better equipped, maybe a toaster or microwave (and a corkscrew!), but it was adequate for a short stay. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and Estudiotel will be my first choice on my next visit to Alicante.

Checked in 19th for 7 nights, guy on reception very unfriendly, room was large and clean but poorly equipped i.e. 1 cup, 1 glass, room was never cleaned or towels changed, questioned this on 24th ( same unfriendly guy on reception) told me that it was cleaned the previous day told him it wasn't but he wasn't taking my word for it, told him we had dirty towels and no toilet roll, his response was that it would be cleaned the next day, 25th room cleaned, fresh bed linen and towels but we were checking out on 26th, we had no fresh towels for 6 days and had to buy toilet roll from supermarket, awful
