Detailed Reviews
Wayteko is a very nice boutique hotel located in the Benalua district of Alicante. It suited my needs since it was an easy in and out of Alicante without any traffic issues to the south every day for the seven days I was here.
The room had a comfortable bed, fridge/minibar, safe, air conditioning, and a TV with all Spanish channels which I never watched. There is no elevator so a second or third floor room requires use of the stairs. The rooms are cleaned daily. My window faced the street, but the windows are double paned and there was no noise at night allowing me to sleep undisturbed.
Breakfast is included with the price and is varied and filling if you choose. The staff is friendly and very helpful with great advice on issues outside of the hotel. As my stay was perfect, I highly recommend this hotel.

+1
Arrived on a later flight and just needed somewhere to sleep with a private bathroom and AC, close to the centre and Wayteko ticked all the boxes.
A 5 minute walk from the C6 bus stop and around 20 minute walk to the main centre which was ideal.
The room was a great size and nice modern bathroom. I was on a quiet side of the building. The window had been left open and I ended up with a few flying beasties during the night but didn’t get bitten so not sure that they were mosquitoes.
There was a safe, tea/coffee making facilities and some very reasonably priced drinks/snacks in the fridge.
I did hear people checking in at 2am who were very loud in the landing outside my room.
Breakfast was cold meat/cheese with bread, cereal and pastries. It was quite extensive and toaster too. Tea/coffee maker.
Reception kept my bag for the day while I was sightseeing.
The only downside was that I didn’t receive the check in instructions as reception closed before I was due to arrive. I had called hotels.com and they spoke to the hotel who said they’d send then but that someone would be there anyway. Travelling solo I was a bit panicked to land and still have no details. Thankfully when I called the number on the door the person got me sorted and the messages via hotels.com came through 2 days later. Not sure what happened but just a pre warning to others.
I’d definitely stay again though.

Hotel: Hotel is very clean and furnished in contemporary style. Beds comfortable. Hot water not always working. No instructions for TV and it didn't have a signal. No lift and lots of stairs so not good for people with mobility problems. Key card access to rooms accompanied with loud "door open" computerised instructions that was overly loud and you could hear everyone coming in and out at all hours.
Location: On edge of city centre about 15 minutes walk to old town. On very busy road so lots of traffic noise. We had to change room because it was so noisy. Not a lot of restaurants in immediate area. Good local market on Thursday mornings.
Breakfast: Small area for eating breakfast which was laid out in adjacent kitchen to help yourself. Simple continental style and same all the time. Croissants and cakes all from supermarket multipacks and not fresh from local bakeries. Hot drinks from machine were not nice at all.
Staff: Efficient but not friendly or welcoming except for Vittoria who was lovely. One lady who had terrible cold coughing all over the kitchen. The lady who cleaned our room did a great job.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back and not on the busy street side. Lots of steep stairs.

Very responsive and attentive staff to their guests. This is a 10/10. Thanks to Elizabeth at reception I had a different view of this hotel. Helped to call a cab more than once. Checked in a little earlier (as the room was already ready). Could leave things on the day of departure almost all day. Very detailed about the neighborhood and where it is more convenient to get to and what to buy (without spending a lot of time studying the map itself.).
It is 10 minutes from the center of the city. 20 minutes from the airport (cab cost guide 20-25 euros)
Breakfasts were not much, but very tasty and hearty. In two minutes the nearest pharmacy.
In the room was very warm and cozy (despite the fact that on the street and night and day was 10-15 degrees).
Comfortable bed, sofa for guests and a table for work.
The mini bar had everything for 1 euro each.))

My daughter and I stayed here for three nights. The hotel was easy to find, being a short walk from the bus station. Location was perfect as it was quiet, yet within easy walking distance of the centre. Our room was very clean and comfortable, with a spacious bathroom. Breakfasts were help yourself, with everything a person could want ( we especially liked the tortilla). We had to check out very early on our last morning and so we were given a breakfast to take away, which I thought was very kind.

Warnings! Don't let the nicely staged photos deceived you. Before you enter hotel, notice the very narrow front door. You immediately come to steep stairs to an "elevator"(A chair will lift you up a few steps) and take you up to the reception counter. We were assigned to a room on the third floor. Once again, steep and narrow stairs. Someone with a physical disability will not be able to go up and down. There was no help with the luggage. Apparently, there was only one person on duty. The room was definitely as photo shows. Here is a list of disappointments: (1) The vault was jammed. We called the front desk and the clerk came to take care of this issue which she resolved after 20 minutes. (2) The bathroom looks attractive, clean and welcoming until I opened the faucet and there was no hot water. The temperature in Valencia was in the mid 50 degrees, Fahrenheit. The clerk came back up but couldn't help us. Put a workorder for the following day. No showers for us. (3) The mattresses were beyond firm and very uncomfortable. The following morning, we had a continental breakfast which was fine. We decided to check out. Our reservation was for 3 nights but no deposit was required. We paid for one night. Later, we checked and the had charged us for the other 2 nights which we are currently disputing.
Alicante is a busy and beautiful city so don’t a review for a bad hotel deter you from visiting.

Small hotel but has pleasantly surprised us. It is ideal to spend a few days and get to know the city. Very clean both in the room and common areas. Breakfast has little variety but fresh food. The only thing we found a little strange is that the reception girl does not speak Spanish... but well, we received a very friendly treatment at all times. Quality price very good. Plus it's one step away from everything.

The hotel is a little gem of a find excellent inside true to photos on line. The only thing I have to comment on is the lack of a lift especially when people are travelling with big cases…
But that aside it’s a brilliant exceptionally clean hotel…
There is a lack of bars nearby. But I’m sure when all the building work across from the hotel is completed that will not be the case.

Great place to stay when looking around Alicante
Rooms clean and Scandi efficient
Room safe too is a bonus
10 minutes walk from the bus station so if you get the C6 bus from the airport it’s easy
The breakfast is continental with lots of choice and there’s a good espresso from the coffee machine
