This new hotel is located in the heart of Alicante, but unfortunately it is experiencing some issues. One of the main challenges come from the building's old architecture, which poses logistical challenges such as double-sided elevators. While the rooms are spacious, they do not come with a balcony and only offer a Juliette-style window, limiting the enjoyment of the view. It would be useful if the housekeeping staff was informed that two people need two bath towels. However, the breakfast is undeniably awesome, but it would add even more value to the experience if the hospitality staff were to greet guests with a friendly smile.

Hotel has 5 stars, but for us was just average.
The hotel is in great location, just a few steps from the promenade, beach and the marina. There are plenty restaurants, bars, coffee shops and markets around. Very close to main city attractions.
The hotel itself is very clean and furnished in the modern way. We had everyday clean towels and room cleaning.
Although on the Expedia.com says that rooms are soundproofed, and that apply only for the windows, and noise from the street.
Unfortunately we had the room on the top of the staff entrance, so every day the staff intercom and slamming doors waked up every morning. Also doors are not soundproofed at all. We’ve heard lift and sounds from corridor very well.
I have very light sleep that’s why soundproofing was priority for me.
Bed very comfortable, huge and firm mattress, which for me is perfect.
For 5 star hotel I would expect free drinking water in the room but unfortunately not available, only in mini bar for charge. We even didn’t get tea and coffee bags topped up daily.
We didn’t buy breakfast at the hotel as €20 pp daily seems to be to much and there’s plenty places around where you can buy tasty breakfast for half of that price.
Our room was very dark and quiet miserable. I didn’t like that.
Definitely I will not come back to this hotel. I think it’s better for buissnes trip than tourists.

This is just a good room hotel. Me and my son sat at a 4 seater table for breakfast. The waitress jumped on us and insisted we move to a 2 seater. Not impressed..
The breakfast is average. The bacon is definitely out of a 3D printer. No English breakfast tea. All teas are herb flavours. Room service insisted that I had put the "no disturb" sign on the door so they did not clean my room. The next day I took a photo of the "clean my room" hanger. Overall expensive for what it offers. No swimming pool.

This is a great place! Fantastic location, at the heart of all the great food, close walk to the central market of abt 10-15 mins, and 5 min walk from the beach. Couldn’t be a better location. Beautiful building. The rooms are great. Nice amenities and bathrooms. Very clean, modern, spacious. The rooms overlooking the city hall square are fab and you can step out of the room balconies which is lovely. The staff are fine too. We had an issue with the room and they the manger was helpful in finding a solution. Very good breakfast. Highly recommended!

We booked this hotel for two night quick break. And the experience was outstanding.
The staff are amazing. The two Bea’s at the reception were very attentive, friendly and professional. And appreciate there effort for making our stay special.
The room was amazing.
You can see the quality in the room finishing and the furniture, bathroom and the comfy mattress!
The quality of the doors and windows in the room is brilliant as they really insulate any city noise from the room.
The rooftop bar is so nice and the views are superb
Thank you for a great experience and we will be coming back for sure

Very good hotel.
Everything is nicely done but subtle. No loud bar or pool. Very nice roof top bar with stunning view of castle.
Very suited to quieter travellers who appreciate quality of service and accommodation but want to be in the heart of town.
Breakfast is excellent.
Location for seafront, town and restaurants is just perfect .

Excellent location, superb room, comfortable bed, delicious and amazingly extensive breakfast, very pleasant staff. It was very clean. We stayed in a junior suite and it was very spacious. The rooftop has a nice view but is only open from the late afternoon. Easy walk to the castle (uphill), beach, market and downtown areas. There was some noise from the outdoor restaurants below but we found it quite pleasant. Would absolutely stay thhere again.

Really a good place to stay and recommended, the staff is very friendly and attentive, is close to the center if you are willing to walk, pretty enjoyable. The Renfe station is close by so you can reach it walking. There is some noises from others room, I can come back again.

I have no idea how this hotel can be a 5 star hotel.
Located in a beautiful building.
The staff is nice and very helpful.
The room was large and clean. Bed and bathroom ok.
But it has no pool, only a roof top bar.
The gym is very small and have very few exercise machines and no dumbbells.
But where the hotel really fails is the breakfast. Very simple and boring buffet. Juice is not freshly squeezed but comes out of a box. You cannot order extras from a menu card. So there is only scrambled eggs. And it was a very boring scrambled egg.
No value for money at this hotel.

We are currently staying at portico. It's minimalist but well appointed. Modern clean functional lovely. Rooms spotless. Breakfast wonderful. Staff amazing.Rooftop bar YES a MUST !!!!!! In the heart of old town. If you prefer boutique hotels rather than seaside fodder then this one is for you.
