There's also a lounge bar at the hotel which the young lad serving was excellent in English. There are 2 lifts at the hotel both made some weird noises when working so that was off putting, didn't fancy being stuck in a lift much but luckily they didn't break down. They whole complex was clean and tidy. We didn't see the Room Service ladies much, we found out if you don't put a card on the door outside they don't clean the room or change the bed linen our dirty cups and glasses stayed in the room until we took them down or washed them up. Which we done. The was only 2 tea bags, no milk, or sugar, the whole week we stayed in the place. We also made a tab for the bar downstairs which was good, we didn't have to carry large amounts of cash about with us and paid up on departure.
All in all we enjoyed the time , we had work to do at our villa in quesada 3 miles up the road but needed to relax away from the place.
We've booked to go back in Feb at their Apartments around the corner. As they are redecorating the hotel .

We tried to book a flight to Alicante. That was not easy and every time we look at the site it became more expensive. Pretty soon we were sitting on around 400 eur pp.
But then the following: for 500 eur pp you can go to this hotel. Includes breakfast, flight and rental car. So that's actually for nothing.
What can you expect?
Of course not a 5 star top hotel in a super location, but a very nice 90s hotel with super nice people, good free parking, spa and outdoor pool.
That pool is not open in the winter months. Pretty unfortunate because it is well over 20 degrees in November and I want to lie there and swim.
Is it a top hotel?
No of course not: everything radiates: welcome to the 90s. Nothing seems to have changed since then. Also the wifi has quality of the 90s
😉
But there is a clean full room, nice view of the pool, good beds, a fine restaurant and a bar where you can have drinks and snacks. The rooms are very noisy. So we hear exactly what our half-deaf elderly English neighbours are discussing, when they go to the toilet and what channel they watch on the TV. Showering in a small bath is also a bit dangerous.
In the immediate vicinity within walking distance is nothing. Literally 2 restaurants (Indian and Italian, the second one fine by the way: good and fresh food for around 13 eur pp) and 1 English pub where despite not seeing people anywhere else it is always busy. So a car is needed and then you are in 15 minutes everywhere where there are nice things to do.
Too bad now that the outdoor pool is closed you have to pay for the spa within the hour. 25 eur pp per 90 minutes. I think that goes a bit far while the free pool is completely closed; even to just lie in the sun.
But overall fine: for very little money you are still in a nice hotel in November with very nice people. From me a great score that reflects price / quality.
The outside swimming pool was filthy with a layer of dust and scum floating on it, and leaves and other debris floating around. Around the pool was also dirty with old dried birds mess all over the floor, and on some of the beds. You also often had a strong smell of drains when the wind blew in a certain direction. When we complained about the condition of the pool not being swimmable, the person on reception became very defensive and said that the pool didn't open with a lifeguard until June but we could swim in it at our own risk. She did not want to take on board at all that this was not our issue, but the health risk of a dirty, unhygienic pool and that they were advertising as having an outdoor swimming pool that people could use, regardless of a lifeguard being present. However we later saw someone out around the pool testing the water and another person making a half hearted attempt at sweeping away some of the mess around it. Its a shame standards have fallen so badly, as we used to enjoy staying here.
If you fancy a massage or a jacuzzi go for it, its slightly expensive but well worth it.
The pool area is kept very clean and the pool itself has a nice big shallow area for non swimmers which for me was very good
The beer in the bar is served in cold glasses, which again for me was perfect, it also has a fab beer garden, breakfast was a bit of a laugh, self service everything, but sadly thats how all hotels have gone today.
There is an indian and a chinese restaurant very close by, and a local bar, a pizzaria and a spanish bar too, all within walking distance BUT these days there are no local shops that you walk to.
All in all its a good place to stay
Twin rooms so basic and air conditioning was 24 degrees, we were told was centralised , couldn’t change!!! My daughter has asthma and the heated room was really bad for her coughing, deluxe suite with spa bath never worked. Gym equipment all broken. No refund offered when booked deluxe suite with spa that was broken!
Offered another room after staying 1 night, only here for 3nts, paid over £1000 for that!!! Every time we asked something at reception nothing unreasonable like where we could get pool towels we were questioned about name and room number. Even when we asked times for breakfast again questioned about being residents!!! Shocking.
Breakfast was bad for 4 star very basic.
Had eggs, bacon, toast, lettuce tomatoes and cakes and more cakes.
Don’t bother paying you can get one opposite hotel better. If it’s included then ok!
Best part was pool guy so helpful, moved our beds, offered to get my ice cream for me! Too kind.
€10 refundable each towel deposit!!! Not a moan about that can be normal practice. Thank god I’m off to a 5 star tomorrow to be treated better.

year old first time ever on hoilday and l wanted it to be special. We ordered food at the bestro in the hotel and l was abruptly told that they do not have blackcurrant juice in Spain by the waiter. On the 5 day trip there were 2 weddings and the wedding party's had to pass by us to get married we were at the in our swim suits, one was on a friday at 5pm the other staturday at 4pm it was very occured we had to leave both days. The litalin restaurant adjacent to the hotel threw our menus to us. The worst experience was when l went for a walk on my own the flowers were getting dropped at the hotel and the younge girl driving the car into the car park was screaming at the top of lungs in Spainish as she entered the hotel car park. Glad to be home in Scotland.

We booked and paid for our double room with pool view through booking.com. we requested a double bed. Our room was confirmed with a free upgrade. We arrived and checked in for room 022. We did not go to our room straight away because we had an appointment elsewhere. We went to our room when we returned to the hotel, the room had 2 single beds, with a view over scrub land, we contacted reception and ask for a room we had paid for, the reception told us that if we wanted the kind of room we had booked it would be an extra 40euros, we refused the extortion. Apart from that the room itself was tatty, damaged paintwork everywhere , the english tv channels did not work, we ask reception for an engineer but he/she never came. our worst hotel stay ever, just glad we only booked 1 night, couldn't wait to get out of there. we rate this hotel minus stars, we had no choice but to give it 1 star. we will not recommend this hotel to anyone, we will expose this hotels deceitful behaviour wherever possible.

When we booked we were not told that the water area is completely closed. And when we arrived surprise!
They have 2 miserable saunas that disappoint as soon as you see them.
The SPA area is not worth it at all. Furthermore, the person who served us was quite rude.
Dinner, on the other hand, was very good even though they got the wrong menu and gave us the cheap one and halfway through dinner they told us that we had the Tasting one and we had to start again. We roll away.
