The parking lot is approximately for 80 vehicles, but those for people with disabilities were few, far away, and did not provide enough space for vehicles equipped with ramps. In addition, it was open at the back giving access to a main road, so it did not offer much security from my point of view. Already in the room, a small 32" television was a little outdated and the cable was basic, and some channels could not be heard. The towels were very rough, but the room was clean and organized. It has two swimming pools, one for adults and the other for children, they lacked lifeguards. The bar area was not very attractive. The casino was small and there were not many slot machines. The activity rooms were spacious with good lighting and air conditioning. I can't comment on the food since I didn't visit their restaurant. The staff in general was friendly and diligent. There were no amenities around the hotel that were nearby. The place for certain days for business and presentations is not bad but for vacation as such it is not so attractive. To eat outside nearby were 2 fast food restaurants and one Chinese food.

First of all, I want to stress how clean the rooms were. Everything was spotless. The beds were also very comfortable. We were there over memorial day weekend and it was packed. They were strict on enforcing Covid restrictions inside the hotel but there were so many people on the patio and in the pool that serious mitigation efforts would have been impossible. I think they were a little bit overwhelmed with the amount of people that showed up and we’re not necessarily prepared. They ran out of towels. We were grateful to have a hotel with breakfast but don’t set your expectations too high! There usually was some kind of fried potato, meat, pancakes or French toast, and then some kind of hot cereal. The oatmeal cooked in coconut milk was especially delicious. Unfortunately though there was no fresh fruit and the coffee tasted awful! That was especially sad because I had heard such great reviews about Puerto Rican coffee!

Still though, the Internet was fast and the kids were happy in the pool. Happy kids equals happy parents! If we were in this area again, I do believe he would go back.

One sec though, if you are traveling with a family and want connecting rooms, make sure you request them in advance. Although the hotel has many connecting rooms, they did not put us in connecting rooms even though it was clear our reservation was one family.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and unfortunately, it was a terrible experience from start to finish. The service was appalling, particularly at the front desk. The agents were sitting around, joking and laughing, rather than assisting guests. I requested towels for my room but never received them. When I went down to the front desk to follow up, I was told that the hotel couldn’t deliver towels in the evening and that I’d have to wait until 9 a.m.—completely unacceptable.

The condition of the rooms leaves much to be desired, with visible wear and tear throughout. It’s clear that upkeep is not a priority here.

The onsite restaurant was equally disappointing. The food had no flavor, and we were unsatisfied with multiple dishes we tried. While the young lady who served us was kind and tried her best, the real issue is the kitchen. To make matters worse, half the menu wasn’t available because they didn’t have red meat or other items for several days.

The only redeeming part of the stay was the friendly and hospitable bartenders—Bryan by the pool and the bartender at the lobby bar. They provided excellent service, which was a sharp contrast to the rest of the staff.

The only reason I didn’t check out was because I was part of a large room block for the Taekwondo Pan American Games. Otherwise, I would have left in a heartbeat. I strongly advise anyone considering this hotel to book at the Aloft or even the nearby Holiday Inn instead. This place is atrocious!

I separated two rooms for 3 people each, 2 adults and a child of 12 and 15 years respectively. When I separated the total per night per room was $208, at the hotel I was charged $25 for each child that was $233 per night in each room.
The receptionist is not very friendly, even upset when attending us, for no reason. I asked him about the extra charge and he told me that that weekend those over 12 were paying $25 a night. It bothered us a lot because it didn't say so at the time of booking.
The rooms and bathroom need remodeling. The pool area needs cleaning.
Very bad experience, with except for the boy who served us at the pool bar, was excellent service where we consumed food and drinks.
We're definitely not coming back!

We stayed at this hotel to be closer to a competition my daughter had in the south coast of Puerto Rico. I have to say the entrance was very pretty and I was impressed with the facilities. They have 2 pools, one with a pool slide and even a Handicap chair to help people getting into the pool (this is really a plus, we don't see that a lot in Puerto Rico). However, my experience was unimaginably unpleasant.

Arrived on Friday night and saw 2 tiny small animals on the bathroom floor, not sure what they were at the moment but I just crushed them. At Saturday morning I noted they were cockroaches! We found one medium sized at the vanity. The bed sheets in between the two white sheets were stained too. I immediately went to the front desk and informed the situation. Housekeeping was sent to the room and we had to leave the room since they don't perform housekeeping with people inside.

After been in the lobby and game for some time, we decided to go back to the room and it smelled clean. However, the sheets were the same, and the dust over the vanity was the same too. We hanged around for a while to find another tiny cockroach in the bed sheets!! I said to myself "ok, I get it, maybe one, it just happens, but now we are seeing several" We then decided to take all of our clothes away, and we found the first medium cockroach in the vanity (which we crushed) and several other cockroaches hanging around our clothes in the drawers, in the fridge, it was literally a plague.

I went downstairs again, notably disgusted and annoyed, and received a "I haven't forgotten but we need to wait for some rooms to be emptied" answer. At last, Saturday at 2:00pm approximately we were assigned a new room, notably cleaner than the first one.

Check out is normally at 11:00am, so at 10:00am the breakfast was ending and I asked the front desk what was the latest we could go (another of the guests in our crew, staying at another room received late checkout privilege). To my surprise, the answer was "you have until 11:00am"

So after been through all this and practically losing all saturday asking for a new room we did not receive any kind of courtesy, discount, refund, NOTHING!!; not even the courtesy of a late checkout. Up to this point, I was really debating with myself if I should leave a review or not, I'm not the type of person that just complaints all the time. However, I should warn others to CAREFULLY INSPECT their rooms before staying here. I just pray that none of my family members or me have one of those tiny cockroaches inside our body from the first night (yuck!)

If I was you, I will definitely stay away from this place... I honestly feel it was a waste of both, my money and my time. First time ever I pay to deal with a plague...

Poor customer service avoid. If you are looking for a decent hotel for a couple nights it is overpriced but ok. We stayed for various days since it was the closet hotel to family we were visiting in Puerto Rico. Unfortunately the front desk customer service is horrible. We booked the room online for 4 people only to be told on late night arrival by the front desk that we needed to pay $30 more per night since we had four people staying in the room (kids), very shady. Regardless we paid to avoid calling for a manager since we were tired and had kids to put to bed. Asked for late check out on Wednesday and was given the worst attitude but the front desk twice. We were told we would need to pay an extra $50 to stay to 3pm to use the on-site casino or book another night. The hotel and casino is empty why? Horrible customer service, wifi does not work unless you refresh, never came to clean room or provide new towels unless you call several times, room smelled bad, etc …. This place really needs customer service training badly. Won’t be returning.

There is absolutely nothing redeeming about this hotel. And to be clear, I did not book this place, it was a hotel that was chosen for us as part of a group of people travelling to attend and stay at a tournament. The hotel is not 3*. The rooms are spacious and appear clean, but when we checked our beds my linens had red stains on them. maybe nail polish or lipstick? My daughter’s bed linen had a stain on the top sheet. We changed room due to this and because we had no hot water. There’s insufficient lighting in the room. One lamp only.
The food is HORRIBLE. Don’t even bother eating anything here. There’s a bar that opens on some weird timetable that is inconsistent. I asked for a red wine and was told no, they didn’t have any. But I could see a bottle on the counter! I pointed to it and barman still said no. Maybe he was doing me a kindness and saving me from gut-rot? And you’re in the middle of nowhere! There’s a drive through McDonalds and Burger King close by. Take your life in your own hands hopping across the road to get to the Burger King. But the best bit… BED BUGS!!! A lady in our party found bed bugs in her room. They admitted they had an issue with bed bugs and claimed the hotel was just fumigated. Not while we were there. The hotel is located in a very run down neighborhood, packs of dogs roaming around, nowhere nearby to go to, no nearby attractions. You can get to a supermarket about 15 mins walk away. You’ll need to go to get food. Uber doesn’t work here so if you’re looking to get Uber eats or get an Uber to escape to somewhere else, forget it. We’ve got 2 more nights in this s***t hole and we’re all torching our belongings when we het home.

My husband and I had reservations from October 07th, 2022 to October 14th,2022. Due to Hurricane Fiona, on Monday October 3rd I contacted the hotel to ensure that everything was ok at the premises. I was informed that the hotel was running smoothly and that there were no problems. That same evening an employee called me to verify our visit and ended the conversation with "we'll see you Friday the 07th. Next day around 3: 00 pm a man from the hotel called to inform us that our rooms were not available because of some problems due to the hurricane. He said he might have a room for us the following Monday October 10th. For us to call back and request a room. We had an engagement Saturday the 8th, hence the reason we flew in the 7th.
At that point I did not know what to do. All the other hotels were full from all the brigades in PR and I seriously think that our rooms were rented to people from one of them. My husband and I are in our 70's and should not have to go through this hassle when I did my reservation about 2 months in advance. Mr Oscar Rodriguez who claimed to be the manager has a lot to learn about managing and learn to accommodate the guests or give them a plausible solution instead of "I'm sorry, monday I'll have a room for you" . Where were my husband and I supposed to sleep Friday, Saturday and Sunday. My family had recommended your hotel to us as they do to everyone going to Yauco, Guayanilla,Penuelas and other places around the area. Very disappointed with the hotel . Please take my review as a positive one to serve guest with better quality customer service. Not lies. Thank you

Rooms good but with minimal amenities example 2 in room only 2 towels you can ask for more though. Resturante Amapola terrible service food low quality for price. Staff needs training in how to treat guest. Very un polished and not profesional. They are not organized they do not keep up with opening schedule supposedly to open at 6 am for breakfast and opening was 7:10 am. Dinner from 4-8 pm but tell guest that they close at 7 pm i mean really do they want to work or not?
