It's cheap! And you get what you pay for... If there was an up side, across the street is a bar for expats and great place to meet colorful characters, the staff is really friendly, but the rooms have no phone, meager bath facilities, old furnishings, bad drapery... I could talk about the plumbing that hangs on the wall, the...

Looking cozy and nice from the outside but not very pleasant from the inside. Stuff is very nice and polite but the quality of the room was one of the worst we have experienced at Philippines. The bed sheet was dirty we have asked for a new one and evet thought it was washed it wasn’t clean. Beds are wet....

PROS: -budget hotel - near Tagbilaran Seaport. - 5-10 minutes walk to Plaza Marcela (supermarket/department store) -very close to the entertainment area,Olman's Plaza CONS: -no proper handling of checking in their guests -'twas little scary, dark hotel room. -the hot/cold shower was not functioning -just offers breakfast meal only (took us about 30-45 minutes to wait) -when checking out, there...

Yes, I should have read the reviews and BELIEVED THEM, but I decided to take my chances since the price was right. This hotel is, without a doubt, the worst that I've stayed at while touring the Visayas. I was at first struck by the total lack of maintenance to the building. The lobby hadn't been painted nor cleaned in...

My friends and I visited Bohol for four days and chose La Roca because of the low cost. While we have seen gross and unhealthy boarding house rooms in Manila, Hotel La Roca makes them seem like the Shangrila in comparison. This place is the dirtiest, most dysfunctional hotel I've ever stayed. The room had bugs, no water, no working...

the hotel really needs renovations.. for sure it'll be trendy after.. the staffs were nice and also the food! other nice things is the access to the city center, airport and pier.. though we only had a very short time visiting Bohol, it was a superb visit.. most loved is the chocolate hills and tarsier.. and adds significance to the...

Have you been to a place that didn’t do justice to the photos and not in a good way? That’s how Bohol La Roca Hotel is. It looked so beautiful in pictures I almost didn’t recognize it in person. Bohol La Roca Hotel is considered as a 2-star hotel. Location wise it is perfect; just 10 minutes away from Tagbilaran...

We've spent 4 nights at this hotel and it was a nightmare. We were probably the only guests in it as we never saw another face save for the staff. The Deluxe room looks like it was last refreshed 20 years ago with crackings on the walls and ceiling. The warm water was never there althought it was supposed to...

My family and I stayed here in March. In all honesty we would have been more comfortable sleeping in a homeless shelter. The place is like a set from a scary movie. It hasn't been painted or repaired in over 20 years. The room was disguisting. Nothing worked and it was the dirtiest place I've ever stayed. There were huge...

It has a potential to be a great place to stay, it has a nice pool and grounds, but it looks like no one really cares about it anymore. Our room was full of spider web hanging everywhere, and the bathroom didn't look clean at all either. We are used to cheap hotel rooms in developing countries, but we moved...

“Our room was not clean at all, so it may be a good idea to come to the room with a hotel employee, check it in her presence, and point to her at spider web and dirt, if any, so that she could direct you to a cleaner room, or she could ask someone to clean it.”
