My Japanese friends took me to Hotel Chinzaso, Tokyo for lunch. The food at Miyuki is very good and the price is also very reasonable. To my surprise the hotel is beautiful, after lunch we walked around the Garden. The surroundings of the hotel is pretty and quiet. Will try to stay here next time we come to Tokyo. Just...

Dear Charlieaussam Sama, Thank you for visiting our Japanese restaurant, Miyuki. We do indeed offer very reasonably priced and delicious menus. You can experience sets with several different types of Japanese food, like sushi, tempura, simmered dishes, fish, Japanese beef, etc. I am happy to read that you appreciated the hotel and made time to visit our Japanese garden. I...

There is nothing to dislike about Chinzanso. I have the habit of trying a couple of hotels in the cities I visit and this time I deeply regret it. I stayed in pretty miserable and overpriced joints this time. Not Chinzanso, it was by far the best and I'd even go as far as to say fairly priced. They have...

This is a truly unique hotel in Tokyo, where most luxury hotels are skyscrapers, Chinzano stands out with its homely comforting feeling and beautiful garden, a true rarity in a city where space is precious. From the moment of arrival the staff are unfailingly polite and helpful in true Japanese fashion. The multi course dinner cooked on volcanice stones from...

Dear YayRockStar Sama, Thank you for visiting us and for writing a very nice review about your stay. Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo is indeed different from the other 5 star hotels in the city. Dear AnjingC Sama, Thank you for choosing our hotel for your first visit with 2 kids in Tokyo. Travelling with kids can be hard, especially if you are not in a comfortable environment. The quiet Japanese restaurant is located at the far end of a long walking path set in a lush garden setting next to the Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo. The restaurant features multi-course meals (kaiseki) cooked on hot stones; the menu selection is varied and starts at 5500 yen (excluding taxes), which is an excellent value for Tokyo. Great upscale rooms and service in what presents as a high quality five star hotel. But there are several glaring, to my mind, exceptions. First, the location, while probably fine for business stays, is terrible for tourists and travelers. Ikebukuro is an area of massive development. Several thousand tenants occupy two giant department stores and shopping malls, where all sorts of shopping and gourmet foods can be enjoyed. The 60-story building at the east entrance of the station, Sunshine City, is a landmark within Ikebukuro and features an aquarium, planetarium, theme park as well as an observation platform. The popular name for the western side of this area is "Otome Road" (Maiden Road) and there are many shops selling products related to anime with a female theme. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo is located uptown in Mejiro. While it is in the heart of Tokyo, the hotel is surrounded by our spacious scenic green garden, which gives the hotel an aura of quiet serenity. The property consists of three buildings: the hotel, the plaza and the tower; and a traditional-style Japanese garden. The hotel has 260 rooms, 36 banquet halls, 5 wedding facilities and 12 restaurants. The garden lets our guests experience the four seasons through its changing colors: camellias bloom in the winter, cherry trees bloom in the spring, fireflies fill the garden in the summer and the leaves change colors in the autumn. Please come and see why so many of our guests are awed by the changes of the seasons in the garden. ... more   less
