The building is C-shaped with an atrium architecture, and all the capsules are spaciously positioned with large windows. Due to the proximity with the Imperial Palace, the hotel serves as a high- quality running station service in addition to the usual accommodation services.

I came to japan for Wrestle Kingdom and highly recommend staying here as it’s only 1 stop away from Tokyo Dome and very cheap. I stayed 11 nights and couldn’t be happier, the capsules are surprisingly roomy and cleaned daily, the staff are super friendly and helpful. 9 Hours is now my go to accomodation when I am in japan next

Great experience in this capsule hotel. Staff were really helpful and even allowed my ill friend to check in early. Nice facilities - lockers, showers etc. Fab to have shampoo/conditioner available, really good stay! Felt safe and capsules clean. Thanks !!

Nine Hours Takebashi, now known as Otemachi I believe was amazing. By far the best capsule hotel I’ve stayed in! Staff are very friendly and if you are staying more than one night you can keep your things in the same locker which is very useful. Clean facilities and a lovely shower. In such a great location too. 20 minute walk from Tokyo Station, walking around the beautiful Imperial Palace. Highly recommended

The hostel is very beautiful, clean and nicely arranged, the capsules are nice and comfortable, but apart for the beauty, it’s a no-no experience.
Me and my boyfriend booked with months in advance, for just one night, the last one in Japan.
The hostel is divided into female (top floors) and male section (lower floors).
There are towels, slippers and other stuff for you, that we didn’ t get because the guy that checked us in forgot. So please if he forgots again: ask them the give you the stuff.
You ll find some lockers, unfortunately they are quite small, so your trolley won t fit.
Now, you might be more lucky than me and get a bed far away from the shower room in order to get some sleep, but if you are not lucky enough then you ll get one of the capsules next to the shower room which means no sleep at all.
All the girls that had to shower (before entering the capsules taking a shower is mandatory)had to pass in front of my capsule, making noise with the door, laughing in the bathroom, using the hair dryer for a very long time. The same routine happened at midnight, at 1, at 1:30, at 3, and at 5.
Same thing happened to my boyfriend, he also got the room next to shower = no sleep.

Thank you for stay 9h Takebashi. We apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced. If you do not fit your baggage in the locker, we will leave it at our front desk. In addition, all rooms are randomly assigned upon check-in. If you can tell us, we can check the blank room at the front desk for change. Also, we offer free earplugs at the front desk, please tell us at the front if you need. 9h Takebashi

Sleeping in a capsule hotel is on the bucket list of most travellers to Japan that I know off. It is an experience so unique to Japan, one must try it at least once. And if you are going for an ultra-modern, clean, Sci-Fi, distopian and even a little bit of a Matrix (the movie) inspired kind of vibe, you really can't find anything better than 9h.

But, if you are looking only for a cheap accommodation and sleepover, you might be better off in one of many Tokyo hostels. At least it would be cheaper since you can find hostel rooms for 2 (travelling couple) for 1/2 to 1/3 of the 9h price for 2 capsules.

What I like was a clean industrial look, efficient and very friendly staff, and good/fast WiFi. But the capsule was too hot for me (perhaps just silly me, but I couldn't find any climate control) and what was even worse, it hat a distinct plastic smell. The kind of fumes that that new furniture has and that at least for me, very often trigger a headache. BUT, it wasn't bad at all, and I assume it will get even better with time.

Really fun experience! Hostel is about a 20/30 min walk from Tokyo station, so very well placed. I got towels, toiletries, slippers and pyjamas included in my one night booking, which i was very pleased about! Good view of the sunset from the stairs outside. The pods aren’t soundproof, which I didn’t mind but I heard someone thumping to shush someone else on the phone.
Whole place was very clean and relaxing, and I could sit up and stretch out in the pod! I felt like I was in a sci-fi film!

Overall is a good capsule hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Close to takebashi train station. Very friendly staff. However, for long stay guest 2 days or more, is not really ideal as you must check out everyday during the stay and check back in again after the check in time. Also, you cant do advance payment for your booking, therefore if you using credit card from outside japan, get ready for extra exchange charge.

Hello, there are regular coaches (keisei bus) for ¥1000 that go from Narita straight to Tokyo Station. 9 Hours is a short walk from there. Getting to Haneda is very easy - just get a JR train to Shinagawa then change for the very well sign posted Haneda airport train 👍🏻

No doors (textile roller for privacy), rules are very strict. Bathroom, lockers and social room are all well separated from sleeping pods.

I don't know about the age limit. In Japan they generally ask you if they can copy your passport.
