Personally I like Akasaka a lot because this area is close to everywhere in Tokyo. It is easy to head west to Shinjuku or head east to Tokyo Station area. And, Hotel Excel is just right next to the Metro Station so that it is...More
Again a fantastic experience! We first stayed here in 11/2015 and now again in 5/2017; and both experiences were 1st rate! When we travel to Tokyo, we love to stay in Akasaka, and this is the best spot.

The hotel seemed to be located in a very safety and convenient area.
You would see a lot of government office buildings, foreign ambassy buildings near the hotel. You can also see many people running in the morning alongside the buildings.
Across the hotel, there...More
It is in the centre of Tokyo, Akasaka, so it is easy access to all the sightseeing place. But there is not so much shopping area near the hotel. Only one Bic Camera and one drug store. The room is clean and comfortable. The front...More

Not so long ago the Akasaka and Roppongi areas were famous for their nightlife, high-class restaurants, bars and clubs. More recently, with the opening of Roppongi Hills, Tokyo Midtown and Akasaka Sacas, the area has declared itself as the most fashionable spot to be seen. The area also hosts the National Art Center and the Mori Art Museum and lots of trendy art galleries.

It really depends on the time of day you arrive in Narita. The last shuttle from Narita is 11pm. Assuming you arrive between 9am to 5pm, the hotel shuttle can take between 60 to 90 minutes. If you are arriving early morning or late evening, the shuttle can reach the hotel in 45 minutes. If you are really adventurous, take the train from Narita to any subway station and connect to the Ginza line. There is a subway stop (Akasaka-Mitsuke) along the Ginza line which will lead you directly opposite the hotel. This stop is not to be confused with the end station of the Ginza line, Asakusa.
