Marunouchi area is essentially a business world with several company headquarters located in tall and recently developed buildings (Marunouchi and Shin Marunouchi buildings for example). It is also within walking distance to Nihonbashi area and 15 minute walking distance to the Imperial Palace.
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's also a downtown area with shops that were founded over a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza. It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels, world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular

Not only will they hold your luggage, but they will also store it and send it to your next hotel. We did this because we took a side trip to Kyoto and only wanted to bring backpacks onto the train. The hotel stored our large suitcases and then forwarded them to our next destination upon our return to Tokyo. So convenient!
