This is a boutique hotel & it occupies upper levels of the historical Tokyo Main Railway station. As a result, the rooms are rather small in Western Standard but its proximity is superb with Subway & Shinkansen right at the door step, not to mention...More

Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's also a downtown area with shops that were founded over a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza. It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels, world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular

We booked a private transfer as we had lots of ski gear for our next leg and were traveling with children. It was slow as we got stuck in traffic but it was a fixed price, van had wifi and the driver helped with luggage. If we'd less luggage I would have taken the train to Maruonochi. Train station is easy to navigate and lots of signage in English.

You can arrange for a meeting service when arriving by train and if there is any cost it will be minimal and worthwhile. Getting to Narita is expensive by cab or car service, the hotel arranged it for our group of 4 in a nice van and it cost about $240. Taking the train is certainly cheaper and supposed to be easy, we couldn't do it because one member of our group has difficulty walking.
