Good location near subway, Convenient store (7-11, lowson), Restaurant. Has Wifi in room. Room so tiny but very nice, new and clean. But very cold because the roof batten has in center of building. The wind had come from the door. However opened heater at 25c but outside had 6c. So still very cold. Breakfast not good, not many things.

My Husband and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights which include free breakfast. Room was small but not too small. there was food smell from the restaurant next to the hotel. I have to turn air purifier on every night. Breakfast was simple : salad, egg, bread, meatballs, soup, coffee, tea, and orange juice. Lobby had modern design.... More

Stayed 2 nights at the Hotel Villa Fontaine Kudanshita. Once you figure out how to navigate tokyo's subway, the hotel is easily accessible from the Jimbocho station - approximately a 3 minute walk. The hotel is located around many universities, so the food in the eateries are relatively cheap compared to more touristy areas like Ueno and Shinjuku. There are... More

This place was very reasonably priced, an excellent location and great service. Our room was small (which you expect in Tokyo) but was always serviced to an exceptional standard during the day whilst we were out. Very tidy and also very quiet. Breakfast was included in the room, and it wasn't much but it was enough to get you kick... More

The hotel is clean, breakfast is quite poor but decent, staff do not speak english, rooms are very tiny (it seems common in Japan), the biggest problem for me was the lack of WIFI in the room which makes it complicated to work. If I do not find a room in the nearby Grand Palace Hotel I might be forced... More

The room is very small (I opened my suitcase and almost no place to step), although clean, silent, with good a/c and humidifier. Bathroom also good and clean, with bathtub, Japanese toilet seat and amenities. Bed is comfortable with 2 pillow options. The contour pillow may hurt your neck, if you are not used to. Good sleep anyway. Location is... More

I'd spent 4 night at this hotel and so far I'm impressed with the services and the amenities. The room is, although not roomy, bigger than what I expected. The amenities are enough to serve your daily demand. One little problem I had was the smell from restaurant nearby at night which kinda destroyed my sleep a little bit.

I stayed at the Hotel Villa Fontaine, last August and I had a great time. When I booked, I chose the room for "woman" and "no smoking" (it was approximately US $85/night). The room was small (but not tiny), everything was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The room had a dehumidifier (which was great to use!) The bathroom was... More

When I stayed in a room at Villafontaine Kudan-shita, there was a cable connection to the Internet in the room. But I found that it could not be connected. So I called the reception and asked for the information. Then an employee came to the room, he might or might not be an expert, and he also found nothing to... More

ONE WEEK'S STAY, May 2014: YEN 12,000 per night, including breakfast. Exceptionally clean, modern, comfortable and beds that match my own at home.(tall male). A/C; kettle, excellent coffee in lobby. Super polite staff. Wish to use your bank card at an ATM? Not at most banks. Used the ubiquitous Seven Eleven stores' ATMs (they are everywhere) and accept Cirrus and... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Ochanomizu / Akihabara / Kanda
Ochanomizu boasts its academic foundations starting with Yushima Seido, the birthplace of modern day Japanese education. The area has kept its college town feel with several university campuses. If you head towards Jinbocho, you'll find musical instrument and sports equipment shops, and an area of used bookstores for students and anyone interested in literature and the arts. Akihabara is well-known for its computer and electronic goods stores, and is now hugely popular as the must-visit mecca for people interested in anime and games. Kanda is an office district where you can find loads of reasonably priced izakayas popular with professionals who stop to eat and drink before making their way home.
