I stayed here with my daughter who is in a wheelchair.
Although it was a semi-double room, the entrance and hallway were wide so we were able to easily enter the room in a wheelchair and stay comfortably.
When we checked in, they guided us to the elevator even though there were other guests there, so we were happy with the welcoming atmosphere. The explanation was also thorough, so we felt at ease.
There were cheaper hotels in the area, but I'm glad we chose this one.
The one thing that was disappointing was that the drinks and snacks in the lounge weren't worth going out of our way to get to.

Mitsui Garden Kyobashi was excellent for its price point. The room and bathroom were very clean. The room had 4 or 5 free cans of water in the fridge, an electric kettle to boil water for tea and coffee. The room has also pant presser and humidifier which I did not use. Calls to the front desk for questions were picked up promptly. For questions that could not be answered by phone, assistants came to the room quickly. Amenities such as toothbrush, comb, etc.. are provided at the lobby. The room might be small but it was standard size for Japan.
The hotel is 2-block away (5-minute walk) from Tokyo station, thus very convenient for transportation and central to department stores, restaurants and shops. To get to hotel from Tokyo Station, take Yaesu Central exit, cross the street, go straight then turn right at the first street light. There are restaurants at the nearby underground Yaesu shopping center which is just a few steps away.
Breakfast was great. If not taking breakfast at hotel, there were many places for breakfast at Tokyo Station.

The Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyobashi is a reasonably priced (we had a twin room for ~AUD197 per night), good quality hotel with sizable rooms for Tokyo standards. It is very close to the Tokyo Station on the East side (Yaesu). We will stay there again the next time we are in Tokyo.

From the street you have to go up one floor to access the reception area. There is a small restaurant next to reception but never actually saw whether it was open or not.

We had enough space in our room to place the luggage against the wall and still be able to navigate between them and the beds. It had a small table and a small couch at the window. Room 1404 overlooked the city but below was a construction Site (February 2023). You don't really notice the new construction below, unless you look down, but the views of the city to the horizon more than compensate.

The room was very quiet. The bathroom contained all the soaps, conditioners, shampoos that you would need. They also provided pyjamas that we did not use.

There is no gym, onsen or swimming pool (that I could see) but that helps to keep the prices down.

As you walk out of the hotel to the right is Ginza (South West). To the left is the Takashimia Department Store. Even further down and across the river is the Mandarin Oriental Hotel where you can get cocktails on Level 37 and great views (plus further drinks and eats if required) from Level 38.

From the Tokyo Railway Station head for the South Yaesu Exit. You can walk underground and use the Exit 24 or walk above ground in a South East direction. From the underground Exit 24 the hotel is just round the corner. It takes less than 10 minutes to walk from the Tokyo Station South Yaesu Exit to the hotel.

Thank you for staying at Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyobashi and we very much appreciate your detailed review of the hotel. We are glad to hear that you were satisfied with our convenient location. With regards to the location, the hotel is conveniently located to Tokyo station of JR and Metro by 5 minutes’ walk. As you know, our hotel is located in central Tokyo so that in location is very convenient for your stay in Tokyo and many place in Japan. Also, We hope you had enjoyed our room, the design of the guest rooms incorporates the playful thinking of Edo culture. Our guest rooms are decorated in a calming hazel colour with pops of violet as an accent. We offer an impressive and relaxing space for tourists from both Japan and abroad. Once again, we thank you for the comment you gave us and are very much looking forward to welcoming you back again in the future. Sincerely Yours, Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyobashi Front Office Manager

Currently having a bad stay - we were placed in a smoking room despite booking in advance non-smoking, and was told there was nothing they could do. You will see this in other reviews, as well. If the hotel knows they are unable to accommodate non smoking, they should communicate this with their guests ahead of time so they have the option of going somewhere else! The WiFi also does not work in our room because we are too far away from the router - again, “nothing we can do.” No partial refund, meal voucher, or even a sincere apology for the situation. Furthermore, the check in process was self serve on an iPad, with minimal instructions from staff. Wild that this hotel is “4 stars.” Despite the location and reasonable price, will never make the mistake of staying here again.

Slightly disappointed with our stay in June 2024. Upon entering the room, the bathroom had a urine smell. We let it go for about 24 hours before going down to the front desk to inquire about cleaning our rooms (we had two rooms). There was some miscommunication, as it was believed that we had placed a notice on the door requesting only towels to be changed and garbage to be taken out. However, we had made a request with the front desk to have the room cleaned the next day, yet the bathroom still smelled like urine. This wasn’t my first time staying at a Mitsui Garden property, and as a seasoned traveller I don’t think I’ve ever stayed at a hotel where the bathroom smells like urine. Considering how much we paid, the bathroom should’ve been cleaned better. This left an impression on my family, as it was their first time visiting Tokyo.

During our week stay we also heard another family not happy with their room and was making a complaint with the front desk.

However, the lounge view, coffee/tea service with snacks in the late afternoon, and the breakfast served were pretty good, which somewhat made up for it. But we won’t be returning to this property. We should’ve followed our gut instinct and chosen another hotel. We went with this property because of its proximity to Tokyo Station.

We stayed for two nights, on two seperate occasions, during a recent trip to Japan.

Small rooms and modular style bathrooms. The rooms were adequate for the limited amount of time we spent at the hotel. Beds were comfortable but pillows horribly uncomfortable.

The room we stayed in during our second stay had an awful smell upon entering and carpet felt very worn and dirty to walk on. Our first room felt much cleaner and less worn.

We had the breakfast buffet on one morning - average at best but options for a western style breakfast are somewhat limited in Tokyo. Dean and Deluca down the road was a better option than the buffet for a coffee and poached eggs and avocado on toast. Plenty of dinner options close by.

Location was great. Easy access to the airport, bullet trains and getting around a Tokyo.

This was the last hotel we stayed in Japan prior to our trip home and as it was only one night, we did not have a chance to make use of the facilities. We did however have a pretty standard buffet breakfast although the selection of foods was quite limited and the quality was not as high as the other ones we went to. The entrance The room was quite standard but one standout feature were the drawings of horses, turtles, socks and kanji on the white canvas which spanned the length of the room. The usual amenities could be topped up from the reception area and the room lights were easily accessible by the bedside drawers. The only other feature was the long entrance hall as you soon as you entered the room that turned a sharp corner into the main part of the room. To me it felt like a large waste of space that could have been better utilized. Maybe it was an architectural feature to create a sense of mystery and suspense for the room! Overall would recommend this place to travellers who are interested in shopping in Ginza as it is literally within 3min walk from the hotel, especially if you are interested in Daiso!

Lots of hick ups during our three night stays. Arrival experience was a disaster. Requested by the hotel to complete all info 24 hours to arrival, was supposed to ease the procedures by scanning QR code on arrival. Machine was initially covered with wordings NOT Working … when staff realized we have done all the steps, We were asked to check in via that portal. Initial attempt was not successful, we got our keys after going through the steps again. Later on we discovered that we were being charged twice. Approach FD to resolve the matter was like pulling teeth… after 30 plus mins, the matter was finally resolved.
The pillows in the room were flat like pancake, asked for extra pillow at the desk was another main event. I finally got my pillow after 20 mins spent at the front desk.

With the hotel being only a few minutes' walk from the Kyobashi station for the underground and Tokyo station for the JR lines, one can get quick and easy access to different parts of the city and outside very conveniently. Since it rained nearly everyday during the week I was in Tokyo, I very much appreciated the hotel's good location. I booked a moderate double room and it is a good size for a comfortable stay.

Staff was vey helpful and speaks good English. Will choose the hotel again for my next visit to Tokyo.

We recently stayed four nights at the Mitsui Garden Kyobashi. It is very well located, a couple of blocks from Tokyo station (for trains) and a very short walk to Kyobashi station on the Ginza line for the subway. The Metropolitan, next door to Tokyo station is a good alternative for location (we have also stayed there).
The hotel is very nice and good value: rooms are a bit small (but this is Tokyo after all) and the front desk staff is most helpful although a bit rigid and inflexible to outside-the-box requests, but that is of little importance.
What is important is the two types of pillows the hotel uses, which are overly stuffed and extremely firm. Some guests may prefer those, but if you like a softer and fluffier pillow to get a good night's rest, we would not suggest this hotel. For us, it was very uncomfortable and the hotel was unable of be of help.
The other point is about the buffet breakfast. The offerings are geared to Japanese/Asian guests with limited western-style foods and different cooking style (and there is nothing wrong with that, but one should be aware of this before paying for the breakfast). The area is also small for the size of the hotel, so can get very crowded and uncomfortable.
If one doesn't mind these criticisms, then it is a fine hotel to stay.
