My husband and I stayed in InterContinental Tokyo Bay in Jan this year, we have had an excellent time there. Reception staff were attentive and quick, and servicing staff were all very attention to details. Location of the hotel isn't very convenient but there are always taxi waiting at the front, no trouble getting to places, also there is a...

As a rewards member where I can I choose intercontinental hotels as I like their offerings. This hotel didn't disappoint, I had a lovely view of the bay, clean room and attentive service. However, I chose this hotel specifically because it had a gym and was in the vicinity of my meetings. Sadly, I wouldn't call it a gym, it...

In regards to Platinum membership I had these problems. When I checked in I was offered an upgraded room on the club floor. However, I was told I could not use the club lounge. Really? Does a hotel actually think telling a guest what they can't have is a good way to make a first impression? To me this is...

Hi bpdogs, Thank you for your stay and for being an IHG Rewards Club Platinum member. It is great to know that you were able to appreciate the service provided by our staff. However, I was concerned to see that you were not impressed with our breakfast. I would like to apologize for any inconvenience these issues may have caused...

Good hotel fast check in and service level is very high. All people in the hotel speak English. Had dinner in the Italian and French restaurant. Italian was oke not very special. French restaurant was amazingly good but very overrated. Bar on the 20 th floor is beautiful so see the rainbow bridge. For going to the exhibition (Foodex) was...

A fantastic start to our holidays..couldn't believe the amazing view from the room..excellent. Good firm bed and good pillows which I liked. Japanese toilets are an experience (you know what I mean) a bit too much gadgetry, but I like that they are heated ! The room smelled a little of smoke...too many people are allowed to smoke in public places...

As this is an Intercontinental hotel I would have expected better. I was upgraded, thank you & very nice, but the breakfast buffet was small & climates in choice compared to other Intercontinental hotels I have visited recently in both Tokyo (ANA Intercontinental) & Intercontinental Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City. There was no gluten free pastries or bread as...

This is a good hotel but certainly not great. If you want to stay in this area and be closer to transport, restaurants etc stay at the Sakura Autograph at Shinagawa I travel around Asia all the time on business and use IHG hotels a lot hence being a Spire member. Don't hold your breath for any special Spire Member...

The hotel is a short taxi ride from the main CBD but still fairly convenient for CBD and for Haneda Airport. The greeting was courteous and helpful, especially the concierge although there was a screw up over our booking and it took a long time to resolve (not entirely the hotel's fault). Bottom line, book through an online travel company...

First of all. Fantastic for arriving from Haneda Airport. Not a great big hotel feels quite personal. All staff super friendly and helpful. Great views and location. Nice big rooms. Breakfast good price, cheaper than a London hotel not true that Japan is so expensive. Just say everything excellent and that's that !

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighbourhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
