Used the ANA Intercontinental in Minato on Business as part of an ISO Standards meeting at the SJAC (Society of Japanese Aerospace Companies) very nearby (5 minute walk). When arriving I was impressed by the grandeur of the lobby and the greeting given by the employees. The check-in was straightforward and although it might take a couple of times to...

We spent 6 nights here and had a great experience staying at this hotel. It is conveniently located (about 2 minutes) walk from the Tameike-Sanno station on the Ginza Line. The staff and concierge were very helpful. They all spoke English quite well so it was easy to ask them questions. We couldn't find a lot of restaurants to eat...

To be fair, the hotel was completely booked for an entire month and we were able to secure a room by way of help from a local. The room was about the size of a large broom closet. We were here only for one night. I can't really speak for the junior suites and suites (the type of room we...

Staying at the ANA Intercontinental for 7 nights gave a very good insight to the workings of this large hotel. The whole Japanese experience was first class, but particularly made by the staff in all areas. The eye for detail and the desire to please goes a long way. Whether it was the lack of the Japanese language, or complicated...

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighbourhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
