All I can say about the hotel is looks grand but lousy. No complimentary water bottle provided in hotel room. Too crowded in hotel and no security checks for non hotel guests. The hotel breakfast was so so but the queue was so long (about 30mins) according to hotel staff. Although there are 6 restaurants in the hotel but all...

There are several buildings in the whole hotel complex and I stayed at the one that was not newly renovated. I booked this hotel just purely because of its proximity to Shinagawa station. Totally devastated when I realized I have booked that room. The deco feels like the 90s and the rooms are tiny. I really didn't have a good...

I only spent one night before transiting to my next accommodation as my flight arrived in Tokyo in the evening. The hotel is very nicely cared for and the staff friendly and accommodating (as with ANY hotel in Japan), but really, I could have paid 1/3 the price for a business hotel and got a room that was almost the...

We were a family party of 3. We had booked 1 double room and 1 single room. Single rooms were only available in the East Tower with a separate check in reception counter. My daughter had to stay in a separate building from my wife and me. Whilst it might be difficult to reconfigure the rooms, I think that it...

This hotel would be perfect if it were not for the sound travels through the air conditioning. Someone sneezed and I thought they were in bed with me. People are very nice and room staff. Breakfast is way too much. Never ate all of it. Rooms have everything you need including novelty safe wardrobe. All toiletries. Maybe needs two towels...

The hotel is in a great location near Shinagawa station. The hotel has several buildings and checkin counters, so to save time during checkin you need to know exact building name. I stayed at the East Wing and the room was small. The combined bath room and toilet was clean but tiny. Wifi was ok but no water bittle provided....

We stayed in Shinagawa Prince Hotel Tokyo for 5 nights. The location of the hotel is ideal as it is just opposite the Shinagawa Station, one of the main station beside Shinjuku Station and Tokyo Station. The airport bus from Narita and Haneda also stop at this hotel. There are plenty of local eateries around the hotel if one does...

Stay for three night at the annex tower, both occasion on transit. Tourist class hotel with bare necessity. Stay in a Queen room, small and cramp. The hotel does not offer bottled drink. They placed the tv on the left side of the bed, very odd position and difficult to watch. Other than a short walk from the Shinagawa station,...

Staying in Shinagawa / Gotanda

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinagawa / Gotanda
In Shinagawa, an office district shares space with luxury residential buildings and the scene is constantly changing with rapid development. Ikedayama park and Togoshi park are great places to see beautiful traditional Japanese gardens with ponds, as well as enjoy the changing seasons. Shinagawa was a post and a port town during the Edo era and the lavish old Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples at Shinagawa and Ebara are very popular. It's a great place to get in touch with the old Edo atmosphere on a pleasure boat cruising along the canal. The neighboring area around Gotanda station is a study in modern contrasts filled with unique restaurants and a lively nightlife.
