Spent three nights in this hotel located close to the Ginza district. Rooms as well as bathrooms are quite small like most of the hotels in Japan. Employees at the front desk speak good English (seldom) and are very helpful. The breakfast is very local with little, sweet western food.

We recently enjoyed an overnight stay at the Mitsui Garden Hotel. We were looking for a hotel that was close to the monorail terminal at Hamamatsucho as we were arriving late from the airport. The hotel proved an ideal choice being an easy 400m walk from the NE exit. Take the cross walk under the railway bridge and then, keeping...

Selected this hotel as a transit/ last stop before flying out of Tokyo. Its' location is not bad and the vicinity has a number of eateries. However, I did not get the opportunity to try the food as I was there on New Year Day.. where everywhere was closed as the locals travel out of Tokyo.. Bed and amenities are...

The location is about 10 mins walking from Shinbashi Station. While doing check-in, The staff was very friendly and explain everything to us, but while doing check-out, I tried to borrow a umbrella from them because it was heavy rain out side, but was told I need to buy it for 500 yen. I saw other hotel guests borrow the...

We chose this hotel in our recent trip to Japan for the first 2 nights in Tokyo due to it's availability for a triple room and the reasonable price we got. The hotel has a modern look and located in a quiet area. It seems to be popular with the business travel crowd. The room is small but well furnished...

Found this hotel on TA, liked the fact that it's walking distance to the Hamamatsucho monorail station from Haneda and its public bath. We arrived early so check in was a problem, it would turn out that almost all hotels in Japan are very strict about the 3 pm check in time. We finally checked in at 12 noon and...

Location was easy to get to from Haneda Airport - just take the monorail to the last stop Hamamatsucho Station about 20mins by the rapid train (JPY490 only) but you will have to walk 650m with your luggage to the hotel which is in a very quiet area. It's a lot easier on the wheelies if you roll them along...

This definitely isn't the Four Seasons, but let's face it...if you're looking to book at the Four Seasons you wouldn't be looking at Mitsui Garden at all, right? lol The Mitsui Garden Shiodome Italia Gai is very clean, quiet, ideally located, and affordable. The property is within walking distance of Ginza, and Shimbashi & Hamamatsucho Stations which is ideal if...

We were very pleased with the rooms and the service. When I got up jet lagged at 3:30 AM local time and couldn't find my key, the front desk helped cheerfully. Also, when we were confounded by the coffeepot, someone came up to the room and showed us the trick. A very nice place.

This Mitsui Garden is great for business travelers that aren't willing to splurge on hotel budgets. Located near the business district of Shiodome its one of the more affordable options in Tokyo. This was a fairly quiet and peaceful subsection of Shiodome, contrasting to the busier and more metro Shiodome area. Although its located in between 3 metro stations, drawback...

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighbourhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
