The hotel has nice modern hotel rooms, and the location is great - easy access to metro. The front of desk service is unbeatable; staff are always so friendly and helpful...was blown away by their kind and helpful attitude no matter what time or what was needed. We often asked for directions and they would even look up and check...

We had a hard time finding somewhere for a family and settled on two rooms at Hotel Villa Fontaine. We had 2 adults and 1 child in each room and there was plenty of room for us all. The rooms were clean, the bathrooms were spotless and the location was great. It was a quiet area but not far to...

Previous two Tokyo trips had stayed at APA Roppongi Itchomae (see Feb '16 review). At the time, considered functional, but noticeably VERY small as warned for "semi-double". At the time - considered acceptable. As such, return visit in Aug '16, opted for "double" - but highly disappointed as it was the same as before! Thus, vowed NOT to return! As...

Great hotel however the bed was so hard. Found it difficult to sleep. Helpful and really friendly staff. Hotel is pretty much in the centre of everything easy to get around on the Tokyo metro. Loved the massage chair 👍

Nice hotel of the beaten path. Only a 10 min walk from Roppongi station. Cheap price using hotels.com too. The room was clean and smelled nice. Bed was a little hard, but I find that usual in a Japan. Had a couple English channels on the TV along with video on demand for ¥1000. Breakfast was filling. Eggs, sausage, salad,...

Little bit expensive for a smoke free room that smelled as it could be a ashtray filled with half smoked cigarettes. And kind of bad breakfast. But Tokyo are fantastic!!! Great staff and so on. But give it a try, it's in a very nice area!!

Coming back here almost 10 years later, feels like I am back at a refurbished version of the previous hotel. This is a business hotel, nothing impressive to boast about, nothing to complain, you pay for what you get. I've slept on more comfortable beds and pillows in other business hotels in Tokyo. For the uninitiated, while the hotel may...

Service without a smile but very professional. Quiet neighborhood without the usual small Japanese businesses around. Definitely resembles a commercial business district. No bottled water provided; there is a water dispenser in the lobby and water from the sink is drinkable (according to the hotel management). Clean albeit soulless room. I still cannot figure out the best place to leave...

Stayed here for 10 days and it was very clean and the front desk were accommodating. The free breakfast wasn't to my taste, good for Japanese travellers, mostly rice and fish. Kids would not enjoy the breakfast, no cereal or toast. The rooms were small but clean with a tv but aside from a news channel, all Japanese stations. Perhaps...

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighbourhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
