Service without a smile but very professional. Quiet neighborhood without the usual small Japanese businesses around. Definitely resembles a commercial business district. No bottled water provided; there is a water dispenser in the lobby and water from the sink is drinkable (according to the hotel management). Clean albeit soulless room. I still cannot figure out the best place to leave... More

Stayed here for 10 days and it was very clean and the front desk were accommodating. The free breakfast wasn't to my taste, good for Japanese travellers, mostly rice and fish. Kids would not enjoy the breakfast, no cereal or toast. The rooms were small but clean with a tv but aside from a news channel, all Japanese stations. Perhaps... More

Overall, it is a business hotel and nothing much. Service is decent but decor is in urgent need of updating as it dated. 1. Location: Convenient for the business traveller as it is located near the Tokyo Midtown (TMT) area where many multinational offices are headquartered. 2. Accessibility: 2.1. By coach from Haneda Airport. Take the "Friendly Airport Limousine" coach.... More

This hotel is located in a really convenient but quiet spot. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms clean and comfortable. For one person the room was fine and I thought the bed was really comfortable but maybe I'm used to a firmer bed than other people. My room looked out on a quiet, tree-lined side street and I... More

This was the first hotel I stayed at upon my arrival. This was the first time I had visited Japan so even though I do travel widely, I was a bit apprehensive not knowing what to expect. No worries. The staff are quite familiar with American and other foreign travelers. My check in, check out, and all contacts with staff... More

This was my first time to stay in this area in Tokyo. Compared to the hotels in Shibuya, Hotel Villa Fontaine is definitely more affordable but smaller. The rooms we stayed in were clean with the usual amenities. Breakfast was also provided. One thing that I really appreciated was the location. It is within walking distance to the subway so... More

The Villa Fontaine Roppongi is clean, in a great location and at a modest (by Tokyo standards) price. After that, lower your expectations. Once past the gleaming marble and chrome lobby, you will begin noticing a building that needs refreshing. It gets worse once you are in your room. The rooms are quite clean, but generously might be termed cozy.... More

Nice rooms. Easy to get around the area from here. Close to many good places to eat. Bus lines close as is the subway. Some on street parking is nearby. Hotel had a morning breakfast that rotates daily.

The room is quite old & towel not clean. Breakfast is the worst that I have ever had with this rate, nothing to miss. The hotel is next to a metro station which is quite convenient in a way. Walkable distance (around 20mins) to Roppongi Hill. However there are many other value for money choices than this.

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighbourhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
