We booked a room at Unizo for three people through Expedia. Once we arrived to the hotel after a long 4 hour journey, the two receptionists and manager both stated that the room only occupies two people and the third person will not be able to stay. We decided to go up to the room and drop off our luggage...

This hotel was my worst experience out of my entire stay in Japan (and all of Asia!). All my other hotel stays and airbnbs were perfect. Please don't go here, not worth the price or staying in a decent location. If you don't care about service it might be worth it. They also were laughing about something which was just...

Location: a bit of a walk and uphill from Shibuya station, maybe 15 minutes? The shops along the way make the walk fun. Close to shops, bars, restaurants and the Shibuya crossing. Great location! FRONT DESK: nobody smiles and greets customers, everyone is stiff, including the manager. No personal touch, they work like robots and not very friendly, very unlikely...

Typical Japanese hotel located in the heart of Shibuya. Location is top. The property is clean and rather modern. However, rooms and bathrooms are pretty small. The desk area needs to be opened in order to be used. There is only a very small window, which makes the room a bit claustrophobic. Not much choice for breakfast with fixed 3...

Is located in the heart of Shibuya, so if you are on a business trip is fine. The room is really small and i have to say....no that clean..and also a bit smelly...at first (and i don't know why) they gave me a smoking room...and it was horrible...old smelly..the whole floor it was not inviting at all..fortunately the staff is...

I arrived at the tail end of my weeks in Japan to this hotel. As I walked up to the counter two of the three walked away and into the backroom without saying hello. I said hello and the lone woman didn't say hello back but just said "I need your passport". If I hadn't have been to Japan before...

I stayed in this hotel during a Exhibition. The hotel in room amenities were very nice, good cleanliness. The area surrounding was very lively close to many shopping stores & also convenience store. Location is guess was the real plus point. But the staff was terrible. They didnt allow any early checkin even a 15mins early checkin was chargeable by...

In the heart of shibuya but in a silent street, this is definitely a plus! Rooms are clean, non very big but still ok! Wifi connection so and so, but suggested, all considering price is correct and staff is very friendly. I had amazing pancake for breakfast!

I stayed at the Hotel Unizo for just one night - stayed at the special women's floor, which was quite nice - all amenities in the bathroom, for example, seemed aimed at women. The location is okay if you like to be in a noisy and bustling neighbourhood (personally, I prefer a more quiet neighbourhood, though I felt quite at...

Excellent location in Shibuya - close to all the buzz but in a "quiet corner". Rooms are super small, so be warned, but that's typical of Japan. Newish hotel so everything is modern and lovely. Three cheers for the fast and free wifi! Don't bother using the laundry downstairs unless you're desperate - it's expensive and the dryer is useless....

Staying in Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu

Neighbourhood Profile
Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.
