I stayed five nights at the Shibuya Excel Hotel, with my mother and sister in December 2014. It was in a fine location - once you could actually find it. The sign out the front is incredibly small, and can pretty much only be seen when you are right at the entrance. It is located at the between the Shibuya...

The hotel is in a great location but everything else was average at best. The concierge service was unhelpful, there is no coffee in the rooms, the rooms were not always properly serviced and we got one with no view, the room service menu is extremely limited and overpriced. I would not recommend staying here unless you got a really...

This hotel is the best. I've stayed at the much more expensive Cerulean Tower Hotel in Shibuya and wished I stayed here again, because it's so much better. The staff here are friendly and happy to help. The rooms are small, but that's to be expected in Japan. Our room had a view of the Shibuya scramble crossing, which was...

Got a sweet deal through Trip Advisor. Over looks the famous square. Fantastic location. A huge food hall underneath and surrounded by good restaurants. It's your little escape from chaos from a seemingly endless parade of people coming in and out of Shibuya station. Only thing is ventilation in building. No fresh air apart from air con. But meh that's...

Location: Stay for 6 nights with an interim break to Hakone from 6 Dec to 13 Dec. Located inside Mark City building, reception is on the 5th sty. Airport Limousine bus took 1.5hrs to reached from Narita T2 to hotel and stop at the entrance. On the 4th floor (in the shopping mall) you should try the ice cream and...

picked this hotel for its location, which i have nothing to complain about. but if you are a foodie and want to make reservation at any decent restaurants, don't expect anything assistance from their concierge. Almost all decent restaurants (michelin stars) would not take reservation directly from foreigners visiting the city, they ask that the booking be made through the...

stayed for 2N. conveniently located in the heart of shibuya. a lot to see around. room was fairly standard, spacious enough. breakfast had a nice selection. a bit on the expensive side, but if you want a nice hotel in the middle of shibuya i guess you have to pony up. staff was very robotic and their recommendations were cookie-cutter...

My Husband & I stayed for 1 week at The Excel Hotel, in wonderful Shibuya. We particularly wanted a room with a view of the famous ' Scramble Crossing', hence booked a corner room being 1801, which had magnificent views of the City to the Mountains !!! The room was large with floor to floor windows & had arm chairs...

Not the first time staying in this hotel, and their service are still very good on top of its prime location. I find a good offer from Travelzoo and the stay was my second part of my Tokyo trip. I used Japan EMS service to transfer my luggage to the hotel and they do handle them with very good care....

Staying in Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu

Neighbourhood Profile
Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.
