Getting to the hotel from Shibuya station is about a 10 minute walk uphill and then up and down a flight of stairs. Extremely difficult in the heat and with large luggage. The lobby was nice and they give you a bottle of water everyday....More
The hotel was really nice- a quaint rustic style which was very unique..which came with some issues I guess.
Rooms were dimmer than expected, with a creaky wooden door and standard key lock. Water heater was a bit difficult to get around- took a bit...More
This hotel is a great location, easy to find if you have maps on your phone, straight line more or less from Shibuya station. We stayed 3 nights here and rooms are practical and thoughtfully designed. I didn’t like the little step up into the...More
This is a convenient small hotel close to Shibuya Station. I haven’t stayed in Japan before but I understand rooms are typically very small and that is certainly the case here. The hotel is a bit retro, but everything works. Rooms are tight with a...More

There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool.
At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.
