Last time I was in Tokyo in 2007, I stayed in the Yotsuya area because of its convenience, right on the Marunouchi subway line between Shinjuku and Tokyo. I had to book for this trip and was able to get this hotel for a great price, not realizing that it's literally right across the street from my previous hotel. I...

This hotel was the final of 5 different hotels I stayed at during my trip to Japan. The hotel staff were very friendly and efficient, and I was able to check in without issue. When I arrived to my room, I had to check my email to verify the rate I reserved at. This hotel appeared far more expensive than...

We stayed here for 1 night in July. The hotel is very reasonably priced for a clean and comfortable room. The location is great - about 5 minutes walk from the JR Yotsuya station and about 20 minutes walk from the Shinjuku station. There are many restaurants near by and lots of things to do. Staff was nice and professional....

This hotel is located at a very nice neighborhood within walking distance from Yotsuya train station. It's close to the main tourist attractions and yet away from the hustle and bustle of Shinjuku. The rooms are very modern and large by Japanese standards. There are many restaurants and convenient stores nearby.

We stayed here for our first couple of nights in Tokyo and would definitely stay here again. I would also not hesitate to book any hotel in the Mitsui Garden chain. Very neat, clean and modern. Only a couple of minutes walk to the Yotsuya subway station where it was very easy to navigate our way around Tokyo - with...

I stayed at this hotel for four nights in December on my first trip to Japan. The location, room service, food at the restaurant and cleanliness were perfect. But while travelling alone, I ate a raw oyster and became very sick as I was not used to the food in Japan. I became very sick with traveller's diarrhea, a colon...

We chose this hotel based on Tripadvisor reports and were not disappointed. The staff were very efficient and friendly and the hotel was very clean, had everything we wanted and offered excellent value for money. The room was rather small (though was probably larger than most Tokyo rooms at this price) but fine, with a fridge, kettle, full-size bed and...

We enjoyed our visit here at the end of a long trip in Asia. Staff was great, (english could be better), but considering I don't speak Japanese, we were very pleased. Great security, very clean, lots of little extra's. Would stay here again, just wish they had more flexability of time for checkin and out. But they did come through,...

Staying in Yotsuya / Iidabashi

Neighbourhood Profile
Yotsuya / Iidabashi
Yotsuya and Iidabashi are areas that developed around the outer moat of the Imperial palace. Nearby in Kagurazaka, there is an old red-light district with a photogenic feel evocative of the ambiance of old Tokyo. Narrow paths with stone paving remain to this day, and there are long-standing restaurants with geishas and quaint old cafes in townhouse buildings.
