This place was great. We stayed in a room with two beds. A lot of reviews say the rooms are incredibly small, but I thought it was fine. Sure, it was kind of small, but not so much that we couldn't maneuver around, and it was myself, my 6-foot tall husband and our two young kids. This place is incredibly...

Room was tiny (and bathroom was unbelievably small) even for Tokyo but staff were very friendly and the location was perfect. Pretty easy to find and close to subway. Decor was really neat and was like a little art hotel.

It is very near to Shijuku station. Only few minutes walk and price is not expensive. The owner is very kind and helpful. Door is automatically lock with password, so no need to keep your key. It is Shinjuku so room is very small but it is very clean. There is no elevator. If you have a large luggage, i...

Stayed there for last 2 nights for my Tokyo trip. It was quite an easy transfer from previous hotel at Ikebukuro. I took the Metro Fukutoshin line direct to Shinjuku Sanchome station. Walk towards Takashimaya direction, then Exit E8 (where there is a lift) to go up to street level. You will see diagonally across the street where there are...

For a place in Shinjuku, this was really cheap and had a great location since it was near about a 3-minute walk to the Shinjuku Station South Exit. I also liked that it's sort of an artisan place so it had this quaint vibe whenever we left the room. The given description here on how to get to the Apartment...

My husband and i only stayed for one night in Apartment Hotel Shinjuku as we were in Tokyo just for the night to catch our flight the next morning. Location was superb. It was around 10mins walk to Shinjuku station and there are shopping malls around the area. Very nicely decorated boutique hotel. The room was quite small, maybe on...

Interesting hotel in Shinjuku, located in a very quiet back road few steps from one entrance of the metro station Shinjuku Sanchome. The place is cool, consisting of a pretty antique shop in the ground floor and with small but fully equipped (A/C, television, toiletries, towels) rooms, furnished with more antique. A very good choice for the tight-budget traveler, however,...

This apartment hotel is more like a small house located very close to the shinjuku station. It's apprx 10 mins walk but you need to know the correct exit to ensure you don't walk a lot. It was a little difficult to find this hotel as it is inside a cramped lane. Please take the lane right next to the...

My wife and I stayed one night here and enjoyed our stay. The rooms are small and were a little cramped with two big backpacks. Rooms were clean and quiet, the hotel is located only about 10 minutes from the Shinjuku station, and the staff were very friendly. There's lots of antiques and style to make this place very unique.

We stayed here for one night on our way to mexico, it is a stylish little place located about a 5 min walk from Shinjuku station, a short walk to restaurants, shops and gardens, and easy to get everywhere from there. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the place was very clean. The rooms are pretty small but...

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
