The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The building is older but has been reformed. Cool glass elevators which provide amazing views to the city. Very comfortable bed. I was surprised by the number of hygiene steps required to enter the swimming pool - including walking through a disinfection pool. The pool was incredibly clean. I would stay here again.

This was my second time in Tokyo and we chose to stay here again. It is very clean and the service is excellent. The concierge is very helpful and everyone understands English. Every 20 mins there is a shuttle to the station which is really convenient. You can easily walk to station as well. the food in the restaurants is...

Staff very helpful, buffet breakfast great way to start the day, pool and spa relaxing remember to become a Hyatt Member (free to join) or they will charge a $20 fee per day per person, room spacious (2 twin beds) that was cleaned daily at a fee, but provided bottled water, toothbrushes and paste and other little accessories... Stayed here for five nights. Perfect location in Shinjuku - close to multiple subway/JR lines and the hotel runs a shuttle every twenty minutes to and from Shinjuku station. Rooms are dated but functional with comfortable (albeit a little small) beds. Low counters in the bathroom and a high step into the shower (not great if you have mobility issues)...

Hyatt Regency is a large hotel in a central government business location. The surrounding streets and landscapes are impressive. The Hotel provides a frequent and free shuttle bus service to the major, and nearby, Shinjuku shopping, transport, and entertainment precinct. ( note: bus seating is a very tight fit for leg room. However, theourney is only five minutes)

The check in process and hospitability of check in staff was absolutely not Hyatt like. The mattresses were also very hard. Location is good though. The cafe below serves really bad Americano coffee. The bell desk staff is very courteous though. Rooms are thin walled and one can hear and get disturbed by people opening and closing their doors.

Chose this hotel due to its proximity to the office. It's in a huge building complex and has a huge lobby. However the decor is extremely dated. I think it's in need of a serious make over. I chose a standard room with a view but again, the room was nothing special and rather dimly lit. Room service options were...

We landed back in Tokyo after stints in Kyoto (Hyatt) and Osaka (St Regis) both of which are fabulous cities. Three years earlier we had stayed at the Hyatt Regency Tokyo and since it was a great stay first time it was easy to return. The hotel has very friendly staff and they are very accommodating with any requests, helping...

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
