Wonderful hotel, in a great location within Tokyo. It's no wonder this is rated as a top, if not the top, hotel in Tokyo. The history of the hotel holds true. It's classic, yet still current (in some regards). The decor is quite outdated, but that's topical. The NY bar is a wonderful place to take in the city view,...

The bar, the rooms, the swimming pool, everything is superb... Sometimes 5 stars hotels have great facilities but the staff doesn't match the expectations. This is not the case. The attention is just perfect. Plus, the hotel appeared in the film Lost in Translation (Sofia Coppola, 2003). I'm in love with this place.

Being positioned on top of the building the views are great. The staff are fantastic, as are the facilities. It is in a great location with an easy walk to Shinjuku station. I was traveling with my 14yo son and although a quality property it was extremely teen friendly

Stayed here with my family on a Christmas trip to Japan. We were on the 47th floor with drop dead amazing view of Mt Fuji in the distance and Tokyo sprawled out in front of us. The room was massive by Japan standards and well appointed. What I really like about the Park Hyatt is the little things that they...

This is one of my favorite hotels in the world. This was my second stay and it was even more amazing than the first time. The best staff and service you will find. Their attention to detail is unmatched. Great views and a wonderful bar up top on the 50th floor.

I'm afraid that this is yet another glowing review of this fantastic hotel. I stayed with my wife for a 4 day Tokyo vacation and loved every aspect of the Park Hyatt experience. Our room was a generous size (especially by Tokyo hotel standards), beautifully furnished with astonishing views over Yoyogi Park. We took advantage of a package breakfast/spa access/Twilight...

눇The gracious treatment of the staff. I've travelled quite a bit and been to many high end hotels but I have to say that the care and attention provided by the staff is unmatched. Oh and the views are phenomenal.

We loved this hotel. The service from the time we arrived to leaving was exemplary. We were taken to our room on 47th floor to reveal an amazing view of the Tokyo skyline. That evening we enjoyed a wonderful meal in the New York grill. We could not fault the meal or service. Price were up there but you are...

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights to cap off our honeymoon trip. It was my 2nd time here and everything was as good or better than I remembered. The staff are all extraordinarily professional, responsive and understated -- they're not reciting a script and make everything seem effortless. They really "get it" here. I didn't really take...

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
