Things that we love about this hotel is that, it is very near to the look out city point. Our hotel is just next to the "Tokyo Metropolitan Government" building. You will get a free view of Tokyo city. It is just less than 5 mins walk. You could ask the guards on how to get on the highest floor... More

Nicely located in Shinjuku with many shopping malls just a walk away. Tight security, and great for those on business and those who are not planning to stay too long. The service is also very good, an attendant at the desk offered me great advice and help

Stayed for 4 days. Single room small but I am able to manage. Better to book twin if you want a bit more space. Staffs friendly and helpful with information. Clean, 24 hour family mart at basement 1. Reception on 3rd floor. About 10 mins walk from Shinjuku station. Come out at South Exit, Turn Right" and walk straight ahead... More

It's my first visit after this hotel completed its renovation. Room design and furniture are nicer. Shower system is better and more modern. Location is still good with airport shuttle bus stop right at its entrance which made our trip much easier. Will surely stay at this hotel again next time when travelling Tokyo.

The location was great. We had an English speaking tour guide during the day but the location was safe and central allowing students to walk at night. All the reviews are right about the size of the rooms... but who comes to Tokyo to stay in the rooms... the beds were comfortable and the service is outstanding. Breakfast was free... More

We enjoyed ourselves at this hotel for one major factor.....they went out their way to make my birthday very special. They decorated my room in my absence and I was really surprised when I returned later that evening. Wonderful beauty/pampering items in the bathroom to start your evening well!! The minus is: The rooms are smaller than normal so you... More

Small rooms with nowhere to put your suitcase. The bathroom was the tiniest I've ever seen - no room to properly get ready. The walls are paper-thin and you can hear all the noise from the hallway and neighbours. The worse thing was the breakfast - with an early flight we went down for breakfast at 6.45 and there was... In Downtown Shinjuku, close the Government buildings and close enough to walk to the main shopping area. The hotel was very big and checking in can be a bit lengthy if you get behind a tour group. Rooms were smallish but adequate and as in all of the hotels, cleanliness was excellent. Beds comfy and the bathroom well appointed if... More

We had a standard twin room at the Shinjuku Washington Hotel (Main Building) and, yes, the rooms are small. The room -- and particularly the bathroom -- reminded me of a standard cabin on an older cruise ship. You have everything you need, but not much space to move around. We found it fine for our four night stay, however.... More

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
