We selected the hotel based on the cost, it's proximity to the Shinjuku Transit Station (a 12 minute walk underground), and it's ability to accommodate 3 people. The room was of the size we expected (small) but there were shortcomings in the facility and service. There were no washcloths for the restroom. The room climate controls only allowed for adjustment...

The location is very good and the price is very reasonable. The room was small but if you think about the price and location, it can't be helped. They had a free high-speed internet connection in the room. Also, Airport Limousine bus stops in front of this hotel so it's very convenient. The hotel is directly connected to Shinjuku Station,...

It's a great choice for the budget conscious. I got a good deal on the internet, 30% off for booking 5 nights in a row. - The twin room was extremely small though. We didn't even have sufficient space to open up both our suitcases. In the end, we had to move the two chairs in the room against the...

This is my usual hotel for staying in Tokyo. It is in a good location - walkable from the vast Shinjuku railway station and near the big government buildings. It is simple: small drab rooms, no view (almost no windows). It is inexpensive, clean, quiet, good free Internet, English speaking staff - nothing to complain about. Also nothing to get...

We stayed 3 nights in the twin bed room on the 11th floor. We initially booked a double room through Zuji for abt $160/night without breakfast but realized that the room was too tiny for comfort for our 3 day stay so we upgraded for 2000 YEN per night which was very reasonable. Our upgraded room was 1104. its a...

only ten minutes from shinjuku station and a great base for exploring the local area and further afield. the hotel is two mins walk from a bustling area full of restaurants and bars and general shopping areas. I got a great deal on the hotel, worked out about £65 a night. The rooms are pretty small but this didn't cause...

I was heading over to Tokyo for 3 nights to see Japan vs Scotland at football so didn't plan on spending much time in the hotel. I was aware Tokyo hotels were expensive so when I saw the price of this compared to others I went for it. It's about 10 minute walk from Shinjuku station and fairly easy to...

The location is good and easy access to Shinjuku Station South Gate via underpass (1 day street). Was staying there for 2 nights at 10th.FL. old wing, the room is narrow or standard Japanese business hotel, the room temperature cannot be controlled which personal think that it is slightly warm. High speed internet with LAN cable provided. But the sound...

Stayed in the Shinjuku Washington for just over a week during the second week of April. I wish to start with a warning - if you are paying base rate to stay in this hotel, you will not be in one of the rooms advertised on the website. OK, this is pretty much guaranteed for any hotel in the world....

This hotel isn't too bad. The advantages outweigh the disadvantages in mu opinion. The cost is reasonable, its clean and free internet is provided. But the biggest advantage is the location. It's close to shops, food and most importantly, the train station is about an 8 minute walk. There is even an under cover passage from the hotel to the...

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
