I stayed at this hotel for 1 night. The front desk staff are very nice. I got an upgrade to twin sharing room. The room size is not too big. The location is not too bad, around 10min walk to Shinjuku Station. However, there is a subway station exit just opposite the hotel. This hotel has a smoking room. Not...

I had chosen a non-renovated single room to avoid being just in front of the large street. Got an unwelcome upgrade to the 3rd floor renovated room next to the fire exit in front of the Main Street. I wasn't quite happy, but their intention was good. I was worried the noise might prevent me from sleeping. Actually, it woke...

We stayed at the Ibis Tokyo Shinjuku in November of 2016 as part of a guided tour with Inside Japan Tours. Because the stay here was included as part of our tour package, I cannot comment on the price or the booking. Location: The hotel is very conveniently located within a few minutes’ walk from the massive Shinjuku train station....

I've stayed in a lot of Ibis and this one is no different. Provides all the basics that you require for a few nights stay. Took the Narita express (NEX) to Shinjuku station. It takes a while to find the west exit and roughly 5 minutes walk when you exit from the Odayaku shopping mall station (West exit). Can be...

The staff are very helpful and extra accommodating. We lost our passports on the way to Tokyo. The staff assisted us in contacting the bus company that we rode and in advising how to report the lost. The staff are courteous and responsive to the needs of guests.

Good location, next to the shinjuku shopping and eateries, the closest metro was seibu shinjuku, and you need to walk a bit far to shinjuku station to the Odakyu department store that have lift and elevator if you had luggage. If you came before the opening time of Odakyu, you need to take the elevator in front of the Odakyu...

Great location for getting around independently. Caught Express train from Narita airport cost about $40 to Shinjuku west exit and 10 min walk to hotel Friendly staff who speak excellent English. Room is small as expected but clean and adequate. Good burger bar next door for a beer after exploring

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
