The hotel is located in a good central location. Room was very comfortable, well appointed, as expected for an ibis hotel, clean, well serviced. The breakfast was excellent, nourishing and welcome. The staff were efficient and helpful.

The AC only gives out hot air which I'm fine with since it was 7 Celsius outdoors but we couldn't open the windows! As our room was a fire escape. The wifi is slow and laggy.Apart from the location I have no idea why someone would stay here for leisure.Thankful I was outdoors most of the time

I stayed here for my last night in Japan before departing for the UK. Location is excellent, less than a 5 minute walk from Shinjuku Station and the JR Narita Express. Across the road you have Omoide Yokocho (otherwise known as Piss Alley) a network of alleys full of lots of little restaurants. Just a few minutes away you have...

Hotel is less than 5 mins walk from JR Shinjuku West Exit and just across the road from Exit 5 of Toei Toeo Shinjuku Nishiguchi subway station. There are many eateries near the hotel. Piss Alley ( Omoide Yokocho ) is across the road and a 24-hour McDonald downstairs. Kabukicho is a 5-min walk away. Our room ( 607 )...

Shinjuku is not the place for first timer in japan. The train station is too complicated and not many elevators for travellers with heavy luggages. Airport limo does not stop in front ibis shinjuku so you probably have to rely on google map to get there. But once you unload your luggage that is where the excitement begin. However if...

I have been to Japan nearly 400 times for work and study and I have a Japanese family so I know Japan very well. Shinjuku Ibis is a very pleasant small hotel only two minutes walk from Shinjuku station's West Exit. Bright, cheerful lobby with nice coffee shop / restaurant. Friendly, helpful staff. Rooms clean and well appointed. My room...

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
