The rooms are quite small, but that's Tokyo hotels for you, so as long as you are prepared for that you will be happy here. The room in general was modern, comfortable and extremely clean. The bed was good and the shower was excellent. The location of the hotel is great, it's walking distance to everything you will want to...

If you are just looking for somewhere to keep your bags and rest your head then this hotel is perfect. The location is perfect, only being abut a 10/15min walk to Shinjuku Station on the JR line and 10mins to Shinjuku Sanchome on the metro line. Its a 10 min walk to the centre of Shinjuku which is perfect for...

We stayed for three nights at this hotel. It is in a fantastic location, walking distance to the main bustling centre of Shinjuku! But far enough away so you can get a good sleep without it being too loud. The rooms are very small, but this did not concern us because we were hardly there. The room was very clean,...

I spent 3 days and 2 nights at the Hotel Sunlite Shinjuku - it is very convenient to Shinjuku Sanchome station and is just a short walk to bustling heart Shinjuku if you are keen to walk. It's a no frills hotel that has all the comforts you want - a nice bed, small fridge, bidet toilet, TV, bath/shower and...

When we saw the pictures of the hotel we noticed it was small but clean and newish looking, when we checked in this was not the case. The first thing to throw me was that there is a lock out after 2am. Not a huge issue for us but for the city that never sleeps I can see it as...

Pros: 5 minute walk to the station vending machines at every corner real experience of japan great wifi connection cons: outdated design restaurant is across the road, which means if you have breakfast included you have to endure 10 seconds of cold wind in your face before 9am in the morning.

Location is supposed to be near Shinjuku station, but it was still quite a walk away. About 20mins. Room dated and small; typical jap sized hotel. Requested for the staff to keep our luggage after check out for one day and they flat out refused. I would look for another hotel elsewhere for my next trip

I want to leave a comment about this hotel cause it was really a pleasure to stay there. Location is the biggest advantage, you can walk to the Shibuya station, it takes around 30-40 min! Also my room was cosy and clean, personal was kind and friendly. I would like to visit this hotel once again.

It's 1am in the morning on my first night of stay in this hotel. I want to finish off my review of this hotel to vent out my dissatisfaction before I go to sleep. This hotel reminds me of the classic movie "Somewhere in time", but in a negative way. Here's the detail: LOCATION: The location of this hotel is...

Staying in Shinjuku

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
