Detailed Reviews
From the check in at the bar to the DJs and bands in reception at night, the cleverly efficient furniture and the little touches - Moxy was definitely a good choice. The “crew” were super friendly and helpful and spoke great English. The rooms are small - as would be expected for Tokyo - and the breakfast options were appropriately balanced between local and international.
The location is convenient to the train station and there are a ton of stores and restaurants nearby.

This is a very trendy, party atmosphere hotel in a very good location. There is always coffee and tea available in the lobby. The lobby also offers great lounging space, games, fireplace, a bar, a cafe and a photo op wall dedicated to IG users. As usual, the female reception staff are friendly if you are male. Initially, we had one room booked for 4 people but once we saw the size of the room, we immediately booked a second room. The beds are like an XL Twin which can make sleeping challenging for a couple. The is no space or closer for luggage so we placed ours on the window ledge. There are a stools and a table that hang on the wall but there's not enough space to place them anywhere. The bathroom is very nice, the best part of the room actually...very spacious. A four-night stay was $1,073. This is a nice, clean hotel near the train and bus stations and plenty of eating locations. I would recommend.

Hey juniperb23, Thank you for your review! We apologize that you felt that our rooms were slightly smaller than expected. Our Japanese size rooms are only made for 2 people max. However, we do offers free lockers on the first floor for your use. Besides the size, we hope that you enjoyed your stay in Japan! You and your friends are always welcome back! Moxy Tokyo Kinshicho

Great staff providing excellent customer service. Really appreciate their laundry facility where you can do small loads for about 400yen (300 wash, 100 dry). Really liked their complimentary drinks available all day that includes coffee, cappuccino, latte, juices, soda and ginger ale. A short walk to Kinshicho Station and a bus terminal that provides a quick service to Tokyo Disneyland or DisneySea. A 7-11 is located conveniently right across the street. Would recommend this hotel to others.

Good things as I expected from Moxy hotels. The rooms are rather large for Tokyo hotel standards and with high ceilings. I had a good night’s sleep with the soft mattress and pillows. The hotel has a very trendy yet cozy interior. There’s a good area for coworking but there’s enough space and a table on your own room. The location is only a 5 to 6 minute walk from a major train station Kinshicho that links to the JR line and Metro, with just 1 stop to Oshiage Tokyo Sky Tree and two to Akihabara. Around the hotel are kombinis (convenience stores) and restaurants so you won’t go hungry. Sure, there are some hosts working on the way to hotel but this is not like full red light Kabukicho. Also, this is Japan so they’re all decent and respectful. It’s not sleazy at all and Japanese kids were at the hotel. The most important are the wonderful staff. They’ve been extremely helpful (of course because the Japanese have the best customer service in the world), but also that they all speak English. Moxy Kinshicho also has a diverse mix of staff including Japanese and gaijin (foreigners) which makes it awesome, they can actually relate with you and your needs. Overall, a truly good recommended stay!

5 night stay was excellent due the nicest staff my wife and I experienced in our 3+ week Japan trip, which says a lot. Some may not like the location in the red-light district but we felt completely safe - I found it to be an interesting environment which made our trip all the more memorable. We enjoyed the restaurants around the nearby Kinshicho rail/subway stations. Special gratitude to Yu and crew leader Arito for their extraordinary warmth and help. I hope to return to this hotel in our next Tokyo visit.

The hotel is located near subway and train stations, about a 5-minute walk. The area is less interesting in the evening and at night, due to many nightclubs; one could even describe it as a "red-light district."
The hotel is new, and I got a room on the 10th floor. The room was small, with a view of the adjacent building where construction was ongoing, so there was noise from the construction early in the morning. The room itself was small, lacking a table and a safe. A tiny refrigerator was placed in the bathroom, along with a kettle, which was in the bathroom too, but there were no cups or tea.
Breakfast was good, not too large, but there was a variety to choose from, including curry and soup.
However, I think the biggest asset of this hotel is the staff. Very friendly and nice people, especially Nico, always smiling and adept at solving any issues i had during my stay.

It was our first trip to Tokyo, and Moxy Tokyo Kinshicho did not disappoint. Within the Marriott chain, this brand is designated as a more affordable brand targeting a younger demographic. I found it trendy, comfortable, and an excellent place to spend a few nights in the city.
The lobby is open and intimate. The reception team also makes your cocktails. The restaurant on site is grab and go, with an affordable breakfast buffet. Yes, you can go out to eat locally, and yes, you should, but having an option after you land from a long trip is excellent.
The rooms aren't super tight, but they are functional. It's probably 250 Square feet for the king room. You can fit two people comfortably. If you're planning to do a ton of shopping, you may want to relocate after 3-4 days.
The gym was sufficiently a typical hotel gym.

The hotel is near to Kinshicho station within 5 minutes walk. The area is expected to be a bit complicated. however, as a solo traveler, it is safe even I walk past those area.
All the Staff are very friendly and helpful. They can speak good English.
The room design is very very comfortable which if you want something different from the modern Japanese standard style room. This can be a very good option. I love all the hooks on the wall and foldable furniture that won’t get the space.
Very very comfortable bed, shower is good. With the must have Japanese auto toilet, it is sufficient for all my needs.
Thank you again Moxy Kinshicho.

The Moxy is pretty standard internationally, a decent hotel at an affordable price. The locations are not always in the best neighborhoods in regard to tourist activities. However, I find that it attracts locals to work or chill at night with friends or family. They have a lot of interacting games for all ages.
I didn’t take pics because The layout is pretty standard throughout and beds are nice and comfy. Size of rooms vary in city, but for Tokyo it was bigger than expected. I didn’t find any great places to eat around the hotel. The subway is about a 10 min walk. The breakfast is not all that great, especially if you appreciate an American breakfast.
The staff throughout from check in and out were awesome. Very friendly and excellent customer service. They even gave me a coupon for all you can drink in one hour 🤯 - I don’t recall that night 😂
I would recommend if you are on a budget and want a nice place, but I opted to pay a little more at a nicer hotel based on the neighborhood.

It’s a Moxy in Japan so you get more than Moxy anywhere else! There are amenities, bottle water, slippers (a must in Japan) and even pajamas!
The hotel is well designed and big for a budget hotel in Tokyo.
The location is about 7 mins talk to the JR and underground but I don’t know why the hotel does not have double glazed windows so in the night you can hear noise from the street level. The hotel is nearby some “interesting establishments” but is it Japan so it is super safe and rather entertaining anyway. I left hotel 9:30-10am and saw some semi sober guys acting funny in front some bars! Harmless and interesting Japanese cultural education!
It’s Moxy so you get the funky and nice lobby/co-working space.
I would stay at this hotel again!
