Stayed in this hotel for 4 days and 3 nights and transferred to Osaka on our 4th day. The hotel is a 1 hour and 30 mins train ride from Narita airport. While the Mejiro Station is about 2-3 minutes walk after you turn left once out of Mejiro Station. Since the station is very near the hotel, the commute...

Indeed rooms are very small as usual in Japan. Staff was polite and try to solve the fact that we made a reservation through Jalan.net website and received a confirmation number but once we got to the hotel we were told that there was no room left! 30 minutes later after they called all the no show reservation they gave...

It's an high comfort hotel, near to subway but room was very small. We were 3 people and it was impossible to open our luggages at the same time. Very clean but really not very charming, maybe more a business hotel.

The hotel is undergoing renovation to increase the number of rooms (will close in May for a short period). Easy check-in, pleasant staff, relatively big rooms for Tokyo. The bed was too hard for me but quiet room with black-out curtains. Convenient location in terms of being close to Mejiro station. Not many sights in the area by close to...

Thank you for reviewing us on Trip Advisor. We are very glad that you felt our hotel is convenient. Our hotel is located near Mejiro station on JR Yamanote line 3minutes by walk. It is very convenient to go many places in Tokyo. We will temporary close down from May 8,2016 to June 25,2016 to renovations of the rooms. All...

Very close to mejiro metro on the JR Yamanote line. The room was small but neat and clean and staff were friendly too. We had booked a room with 'no window' but there was a small window . Overall a good experience. All the major attractions are far and metro must be used.

We stayed here in January 2016 for 5 nights in a standard room (no window). Check in was efficient with a self service kiosk. The staff are very friendly, but their English was a little limited. There are lots of brochures and maps that the hotel has made. The room itself was a little tired. The bed was hard and...

I love that the hotel is near mejiro station. There's a great cafe at the station with a wide variety of breads. The town mejiro is also lovely to have a stroll. However we travelled as a family of six and booked two rooms and they gave us a very small room with just a queen bed. 3 of us...

I stayed one night at Richmond. Reserved a room without window. The room had a window (perhaps I was upgraded), although it was just the wall of another building when I opened it. A typical small room with no frills, just as I expected. There was a free bottle of water. A bit smelly in the corridor: however, there was...

Neighbourhood Profile
Ikebukuro
Ikebukuro is an area of massive development. Several thousand tenants occupy two giant department stores and shopping malls, where all sorts of shopping and gourmet foods can be enjoyed. The 60-story building at the east entrance of the station, Sunshine City, is a landmark within Ikebukuro and features an aquarium, planetarium, theme park as well as an observation platform. The popular name for the western side of this area is "Otome Road" (Maiden Road) and there are many shops selling products related to anime with a female theme. It has rapidly become the worldwide headquarters for ‘otaku’ or geek culture.
