Stayed here on a two-week trip of Japan with friends. The room for three people here had three twin beds in it which was ideal. The most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept in. Our room was on the 21st floor on the "non-scenic" side (ie not facing the Skytree) so we paid a lower rate. There's an observation lounge...

This hotel was the last on our trip through Japan and I chose it for our group of friends for its location in Askusa near the famous shrine and shopping area. The hotel is just up the road. While we were there, at least 6 wedding groups came through. Apparently there is a chapel on one of the higher floors....

Simply fantastic. Everything was great and the view is amazing on both sides of the building. The bar is a little expensive, but that is what you can expect. The rooms are furnished in a modern, western way. With the Japanese touch!

Hard not to like a hotel that upgrades you on check in but this is a good place to stay in a popular part of Tokyo: Good points. 1. Location - easy walk from Tawarimachi subway, Sensoji temple, the traditional area of Asakusa and even JR Ueno. 2. Location - so many places to eat nearby that you will be...

The breakfast buffet area at the 26th floor is breathtaking. You can get a good view of Asakusa, Tokyo, Japan. The selection of food is good, as most of its offerings are Japanese. Make sure to get the higher floor of the hotel. In terms of the guest hotel, i got the smallest and cheapest but it has a good...

Booked an executive room on the 24th floor. Fantastic views of Tokyo, ask for front of hotel for views of the Sky Tower. The buffet breakfast is well worth including, it had loads of choice between both Japanese and Western food, Booked a twin room, the rooms was a good size and the beds were huge and very comfortable. Stayed here for 3 nights at the start of our Japan tour. Well kept hotel which is close to the local attractions with the benefit of lots of restaurants close by. A few minutes walk takes you to the river where you get a great view of the Sky tree tower. You can also take river trips from this area. Close...

Excellent view ! You can see "Tokyo Sky Tree" from the room as my picture shows. But please be care that you need to choose "Sky View Room" when you have a reservation. The location of this hotel is good for accessing to Asakusa town. It takes 1-2mins on foot, walking across "Kokusai street". You can find many restaurants, shops,...

The buffet at the Musashi is highly recommended. Get a reservation at least days in advance and get there early. The restaurant officially opens at 11:30 for lunch but I think you can get seated earlier. The first lunch seating is from 11:30 to 1, so you only get 1.5 hours to enjoy the fantastic food. This includes beef sirloin...

The hotel is very well located close to Asakusa Senso-ji temple. About 600-800 m away from the metro stations. Taxis available 24/7. The rooms well equipped. Good quality catering - breakfast available in traditional Japanses style as well as continental cuisine. The hotel very tidy. Restaurant menus affordable. One small drawback - very difficult to communicate with hotel staff in...

Staying in Ueno, Asakusa

Neighbourhood Profile
Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa. Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit a variety of different museums and galleries. At Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at the end of the year, when many people go on shopping sprees. The town of Asakusa, developed around Sensoji temple, has many shops selling goods and clothing from old Japan, making it a great place for souvenir hunting. It's also known for various annual festivals, and the whole district gets involved with the huge Sanja Festival in May.
