Nice Location, however rooms are dated and breakfast is fair. Great restaurants in the complex and close to the JR line and subway. There is no bell boy so if you are coming by taxi you will arrive on the first floor. You must take an elevator to the 3rd floor to find reception. They have two sized standard rooms....

Stayed here two nights. Like a pit stop for me to stock up my Suntory whisky, available in smaller bottles. Room comfortable. Breakfast good spread of Japanese food and a mixture English or American breakfast. Transport link by train is within reach. Peaceful and safe environment cos' in the neighbourhood of housing homes.

First time to this hotel by myself. I lucked out of getting an upgrade to twin room. The room was decent fair and a little aged but clean amenities including linens and towels. Very close from shops and restaurants. Also good base camp got touring Tokyo's tour spots, Tokyo, Ginza, Shibuya, Harajuku, Shijuku, by taking JR Yamanote line. I bought...

Great location - attached with Osaki train station, and plenty of affordable restaurant option on the basement. If we need groceries, it is right in front of the hotel. Room size need to be upgraded. It is quit narrow esspecially on the room entrance corridor

My group tour used this hotel for a night. Very convenient locale as it is 3 minutes walk to the Osaki station. Osaki station is on the JR Yanmanote line. The twin room which I stayed was large by Japanese standard. It faced the river which had cherry blossoms trees on either side of the bank. Wifi was complimentary. Restaurants...

I stayed for five nights. very business-like hotel.Outdated room with pre-historic room key. The size of the room is just nice for 2 adult. Comfortable toilet although may be cramped for a big sized adult. Basic breakfast but enough to fill up your tummy. No health centre to do your daily exercise but you can do your running outside the...

Stayed one night with my family. The three of us slept comfortably on three separate beds in our oversized (by Tokyo standards) room. Polite staff, but few smiles to greet you. Outdated center console radio, aircon, and alarm give charm to the updated rooms. The staff held our luggage before check-in and after check-out so we could tour Tokyo without...

On entry, the hotel didn't look like much, but was pleasantly surprised at how nice the room was. It'd everything a traveler would need in the room. Its located 5 minutes from the Osaki Station on the JR line, using the overhead bridges, a shopping centre adjacent to the hotel, as well as a Lawson 24h mart, just outside the...

We were really disappointed by this hotel. We were in the Garden Tower, and it was old, dull and tatty. It also had a low 'bunker' feel when in the room, with the windows and lintel being too low to stand and look out of. A bit of a hike to the restaurant for breakfast, which again was poor by...

We were told by our travel agent that this was a 4 star hotel. It's in the middle of no where, dented doors as you walk down the corridor to your room. Room had hair on the bed, crushed peanuts on the floor, filthy seat next to the bed and bra strap on the floor. A bunch of school kids...

Staying in Shinagawa / Gotanda

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinagawa / Gotanda
In Shinagawa, an office district shares space with luxury residential buildings and the scene is constantly changing with rapid development. Ikedayama park and Togoshi park are great places to see beautiful traditional Japanese gardens with ponds, as well as enjoy the changing seasons. Shinagawa was a post and a port town during the Edo era and the lavish old Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples at Shinagawa and Ebara are very popular. It's a great place to get in touch with the old Edo atmosphere on a pleasure boat cruising along the canal. The neighboring area around Gotanda station is a study in modern contrasts filled with unique restaurants and a lively nightlife.
