Excellent location. just 3 min to the Meguro JR station where you could go to any part of Tokyo with convenient connections many restaurants & shops around around. Many Italian restaurants & 2 Starbucks Coffee outlets around Very friendly & helpful staff. Rooms are a little small but clean & cozy i stayed with friends for 8 days & had...

The reasons I gave this property a 4 star: 5 minute walk to Meguro Station, (the most convenient train line in Tokyo) above average common lobby area and restaurants/cafe. The reason I nearly gave it 3 stars, the rooms are typical Japanese business and it was bland and dated... Nothing wrong with it, not somewhere you want to spend time......

When I checked in I immediately asked if there were any rooms with double beds instead of the twin room I had. The person at the front spoke English well and offered me a smoking room that had a double bed. I checked it out and decided that the smell was just a little too strong for me and asked...

Stayed over for three days to tour Tokyo. Rooms are very small and a bit worn but you get what you pay for. Concierge was very helpful and knowledgable. Close to airport Walking distance to meguro station and surrounding residential areas. If on a budget this is a good place to stay.

This is a good place to get over jet lag and sleep it off. It is low frills and you get what you pay for. Service is quick and efficient. The only issue I had is that the internet did not work outside of the lobby, so I had to keep going down to the lobby just to use the...

Hotel is less than 5 minute walk from Meguro station (turn right out of station, straight over crossing and hotel is on left). Impressive foyer for age of hotel and staff are friendly and efficient though there were a few members could do with a brief customer service refresher. Rooms average small, if non smoker insist on non smoking room....

Its location is easy to find out. And the room is functional. The price is reasonable for its location. But be aware that the door of the room should be closed certainly by hand, because the function of the door spring sometimes does not work. The convenience store in front of the hotel is small and does not have enough...

Tokyo is a populated and expensive city, but it's one of my favorites (I've been several times). This hotel is very reasonable and the location is great - near a metro station on a central line. This hotel is pretty standard for Japanese room size (small) and amenities (few), but if you plan to stay in your room a lot,...

We stayed here for 7 nights (2 adults, 2 children), as a base to explore the city. The location is good, just a few minutes walk from the nearest station...and most things are within a 10-30 minute ride from there. It's a mostly residential area and very clean and you feel very safe. Some good local convenience stores, restaurants and...

Easy walk from Meguro Station and had no trouble finding this Hotel. From Meguro Station, all the sights in Tokyo are within easy reach. It is in a quiet location especially you have a room facing the beautiful garden. There was no noise from outside or from within the Hotel. Our room was clean, comfortable and a very generous size....

Staying in Shinagawa / Gotanda

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinagawa / Gotanda
In Shinagawa, an office district shares space with luxury residential buildings and the scene is constantly changing with rapid development. Ikedayama park and Togoshi park are great places to see beautiful traditional Japanese gardens with ponds, as well as enjoy the changing seasons. Shinagawa was a post and a port town during the Edo era and the lavish old Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples at Shinagawa and Ebara are very popular. It's a great place to get in touch with the old Edo atmosphere on a pleasure boat cruising along the canal. The neighboring area around Gotanda station is a study in modern contrasts filled with unique restaurants and a lively nightlife.
