Hi there potential brides I hope I can save you the pain I went through with these guys by sharing my experience. I booked my wedding here and it was the most disheartening and stressful experience I've ever had. The way I was spoken to many times was as if I was worthless to them as a client. The wedding...

A beautiful outlook surrounded by vineyards and seascape on the lovely Mornington Peninsula. We chose to be seated inside but many were outside on the deck as it was such a beautiful day. Our meals were 5 star, simple, elegant and delicious. Our waitress was attentive and obliging with our requests especially with the service of birthday cake and coffee!...

I can't comment on the interior as we never actually went inside, we were guests at a wedding ceremony in the rose garden. It is a truly beautiful location for a wedding. The sun shone, the roses were lovely, truly an idyllic setting. The reception was held elsewhere but there was a small champagne reception also held in the garden...

Many thanks for your comments - which we have not only taken onboard but have acted upon. Heels in the gardens are a little tricky.

Staying in Mornington and was taken to The Morning Estate for lunch. Fabulous food,, professional attentive staff and a wonderful setting. Eat inside or out overlooking the gardens with a glimpse of the sea. We enjoyed their own wine from the own vineyard. If you are a big eater you will need to order side dishes. Didn't have desert but...

We were looking forward to staying here for the first time but were disappointed. Whilst we knew the accomodation was basic which was reflected in the price we did not expect to have no running water in the shower when we went to use it late at night after a function! Couldn't believe it and had an uncomfortable night as...

We had our wedding at Morning Star Estate over the long weekend (ceremony in the chapel and reception in the ballroom) and couldn't recommend it highly enough. With the change in management, the whole process ran really smoothly, and every aspect from the wedding co-ordination, accommodation and catering was looked after professionally. Morning Star has the most beautiful setting for...

We had the delightful experience of being guests at morning star restaurant for a delicious 3 course lunch. Although service was slow on a less than busy day, the food was scrumptious. As expected, exceptional wine list to choose from. The extensive gardens to walk the lunch off or to take a break between courses. A truly lovely venue for...

One of those experiences that just left me shaking my head...I've never felt the need to post a negative review online, however our recent lunch at this restauarant really deserves it. Fabulous food, friendly and attentive service mean absolutely nothing when two ladies who are clearly the owners of the venue sit themselves in the middle of a busy long...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In early 2002 the original dormitory rooms of the historical "Morning Star Boys' Home" were modified to create a 20 room Guest House. Originally there were 30 dormitory rooms with communal facilities; these were altered by converting every second room into two en suites. Formerly the dormitory rooms housed 4 or 6 boys, and were kept small due to structural requirements. However you don't live in your rooms when visiting Morning Star Estate, there are beautiful garden areas and vineyards around the estate waiting to be explored and enjoyed. Our rooms are modest yet priced fairly. The Guest House consists of 15 Double Rooms (with double bed), 4 Queen Rooms and 1 Queen Spa Suite (with queen bed or twin beds), all have their own en suites. For socialising and relaxation we provide Guest Lounges and various outside areas for enjoying the scenery. ... more   less
