We are delighted to have found the lovely Sa Bisbal. From the moment Len welcomed us and showed us our beautiful room, we knew we were going to enjoy our week in Selva. The hotel is small and comfortable, with a great little garden and pool area. We had a hire car and explored a great deal of the island....

The hotel is owned and operated by a very nice couple who went out of their way to make our stay in Selva a wonderful experience. We were met by one of the owners who greeted us pleasantly, and was very helpful, and spoke English well as he was an expatriate from England. The other owner was Spanish, and her...

We visited Mallorca recently and it was the first time for quite a few years. The authentic charm of this hotel is evident as soon as you step through the door. The restaurant opposite is fun by the same family and has an excellent menu. Beautiful rooms, some with a very private terrace and with access to the pool. Perfect...

We stayed for 12 nights in that lovely finca style hotel. To summarize: I have NOTHING to complain about. We had room #6, which is one of the suites, right under the roof. We had a great view from the balcony to the church and the mountains of the serra tramuntana. Here we could enjoy the evening sun, which warmthed...

This small Hotel is perfect in every way. The village of Selva is vibrant, delightful and charming and you can extend that description to this accomodation run hands on by the owners Len and Franchesca. Breakfast is served in the owners restaurant in the square again a well run location serving excellent evening meals as well which we sampled on...

We spend 7 nights at Sa Bisbal and would definitely recommend it to anybody looking for a quiet, friendly, beautiful place from where you can explore the island easily by car or by bike. The hosts are super friendly, breakfast, which could be taken on the patio, was excellent. We had a great stay and when we visit Mallorca again,...

A wonderfully relaxing and quiet hotel (even allowing for the local fiesta activities). Welcome was warm but professional. Rooms lovely and comfortable. Len and Francesca were very good hosts/hostesses. Nice location. Good choice of local restaurants. Excellent breakfasts. It felt a lovely and very mallorquin break. Would strongly reccomend.

Stayed at this hotel last week and had a lovely time. As others have mentioned it is quite remote and a car is definitely necessary as there's not much close by. Room was lovely as were our hosts. Instead of a mini bar there was a fridge in the kitchen which had coke, water, beer and wine in. There were...

Recently visited the beautiful little hotel Sa Bisball in Selva. My husband and I very much enjoyed our time in this quaint and peaceful hotel. Our hosts Len and Francesca couldn't do more to make us feel welcome. We particularly loved the terrace and pool area.....a little oasis of calm and beauty.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel recently. We only stayed for two nights, but we would have liked it to be more. The hotel is run by a very friendly couple, Len who is British, and his lovely Mallorcan wife Francesca. The room we stayed was at the top of the hotel, affording it beautiful views from both...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Sa Bisbal occupies a building of significant architectural interest. It was constructed in the XVII century, being located in the most privileged place of Selva, at the top of the town next to the gothic church of Sant Llorenç which itself dates from the year 1301. For a long time the building was the residence of noble families of Majorca. The actual owner has restored all the building giving back all its character and original splendour. Some of the more remarkable architectural elements include the portal fora constructed with perfectly fitted stone blocks and the original cub de vi, which was used for the fermentation of the grape in producing wines. In the cellar excavated in the rock, the wine was stored in barrels. The stone stairs are one of the oldest and most valuable architecturally enchanting elements of the house. In keeping with the Majorcan gothic style, Sa Bisbal retains in its large windows the conopial carved stone arcs. In the patio is the aljub, a characteristic element of the Mediterranean culture, which still today collects rainwater. Sa Bisbal has six rooms and each is unique in both its design and decoration. They have all the amenities - bathroom, air conditioning and heating, TV, and have varying views of the Serra de Tramuntana, the north coast of the island and the neighbouring villages. Room 1 is a twin bedded room and is accessed from the garden and terrace. Room 2 (junior suite) is more spacious and has two balconies on the facade. Its decor is elegant. The views from this room are spectacular covering the entire north coast of the island and the sea, and up to 4 villages. This room has a double bed. Room 3 (junior suite) is also very spacious, with a double bed and has its own terrace overlooking the garden, the neighbouring church and the Serra de Tramuntana. Room 4, with its wood beamed ceiling looks over the garden. It has twin beds. Room 5 is a little smaller, but very cosy, with a double bed and enjoys wonderful views. Room 6 (junior suite) has a double bed and is on the top floor of the house. A feature is its wooden mansard roof and large windows with views to the Serra de Tramuntana and the bell tower of the Church. It has its own terrace. A buffet breafast is served between 8am and 10am in our restaurant, Es Portal de Tramuntana, which is in the main square, just 50 metres or so from the hotel. ... more   less
