Erlexte was a beautifully furnished lodging inside the old city wall, with parking outside. Unai was an impeccable host. He made our wine tasting reservations, suggested an itinerary to visit other villages and an excellent restaurant, and was so friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed Room #4 with a vineyard view for the three days of our visit in late September....

We only stayed 3 nights but loved Erletxe. Our room was on the side overlooking the vineyards (recommend getting a room on this side). Room was very clean and spacious, hotel has all the amenities you need and serves a great breakfast. Our host was great and couldn"t do enough to ensure our stay was comfortable. He helped us with...

We absolutely loved our stay at Erletxe. La Guardia is a must see in the Rioja region and Erletxe and our host Unai was so gracious. They offered a lovely breakfast and a great introduction to the town so we could go explore. We highly recommend it and would come back anytime.

We stayed a week here, and every day was a pleasure. A lovely room, set into the outer wall of the fortified town - spacious and spotlessly clean, peaceful and quiet. We had the advantage of a very comfortable communal sitting room, and a kitchenette with everything in it known to man, including wine glasses, opener etc for the odd...

Very pleasant 3 night stay. Comfortable room with small shower room and valley views suited our needs perfectly. Unai is a wonderful host, nothing is too much bother for him. He will help you arrange your day, will phone about wine tours and recommend restaurants and bars etc. Every morning there is a different hot option for breakfast. Parking is...

We had been recommended Erletxe and were not disappointed. Unai is a wonderful friendly host who provides lovely breakfasts and the room we had looking over the valley was very comfortable. He was also able to advise on restaurants and bodegas on the town. Laguardia is a really good place to be based to explore the Rioja.

'Erletxe' guest house couldn't be better situated in this tiny hilltop town in Rioja country. It's very central and convenient - and we even managed to find parking a few minutes' walk away during a busy fiesta. The owners and staff are very welcoming and always ready to help in any way. They are all excellent at communicating in English...

Guardia is a perfect base to explore Rioja's Alavesa wine region. It is a beautiful hill town with good local feel. Once you have decided to stay in Guardia do stay at Erletxe. The location is great: Quite part of the townwith only a 2 min walk to all the bars and restaurants. The house is built into the town...
